I know the feeling kill0025. I geting back into TS modding and this is pissing me off. I don't remember this problem before.... but that was more than 2 years ago......
Or you could get textpad. Textpad is essentially notepad on steroids, with all the added functionality you need to write text documents with a uniform page layout, possibly with syntax detection and highlighting. For example, you can write programs with it and have it highlight the different block separators, keywords, operators and numerals for languages such as C, C++, Java and whatever floats your boat (you'll probably find syntax files for it). It allows you to place bookmarks in files (so you can quickly zip and zoom around the file from and to relevant positions you've defined), use macros to automate rather menial tasks, compare files, define workspaces so you can quickly open like a bazillion files and track them together and probably some more.
In short: Get textpad. It's free with full functionality, but if you feel like it, you can buy a license to support the guy who's making it. QUICK_EDIT
