Subject description: Random D-day work...		 Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread
Was getting a bit bored with all the ini work I've been doing so I took a brake & put this together #Tongue

The BICh-26, a Soviet tailless fighter design from 1948 with an estimated speed of Mach 1.7! Development problems with the engine & then sadly the death of the designer Cheranovskij meant that all work on this sleek a very cool looking plane was cancelled.

As for theimage, won't the red stars on the wings become blurs ingame?

I scaled it down slightly to fit with the other D-day planes (like I usually do!) so the star is a bit lost in the detailing.

Edit: There are no images of this plane on the net (that I could find) so I scanned this pic from the book "Soviet Secret Projets: Fighters Since 1945".

Hmm, another nice looking aircraft for D-Day.
Maybe one of my favourites, looking at it..

I'm guessing that it never actually existed past concept/prototype?

No it only got as far as a few models & tons of paper work.
