A little birdie told me that picture was cropped from a screenshot taken during its buildup. Wink

Sorry guys, there WAS no underground battle lab. Indeed, it did look a lot like the retail version, but with certain graphical differences as shown in the one frame we have.

Which would explain the staircases to nowhere.

Nevertheless, the early build-up seems a lot different from the one in the release version.

Yeah, looks to be. I wonder if I can recreate it. I dunno.

First I need to imagine what the old lab may have looked like. D:

This kind of semi-subterranean lab looks just fine to me. Even if it's just a single frame of the build-up, I doubt much more would appear to the building, other than maybe some steel plates closing the gaps.

It was fully out of the ground. It rose out of the ground and expanded to fill the hole, hence the hydraulic support beams.

And the stairs aboveground at the center of each edge. Those stairs wouldn't just go to nothin'.

I didn't even realize they were stairs. They look so bulky...

Is there a reason to be amazed of that? The game's mix files contain leftovers from ra1/ts.

I'm sure I've seen that Battle Lab in Sleipnir's forum somewhere before, even the prerelease radar. IDK if it was finished though. Sad

No, they were just amazed that tomsons26lv didn't figure that out on his own.
