It's been long since I have heard of this technology, but I never really thought about using it. I don't have an IR Emitter, nor S3D Glasses, nor a 3D TV, but I can, however, purchase a pair of traditional 3D glasses, and get about the same effect... should I do it or not? Will it be just a waste of my time?

Where I work (and live) a new 3D TV has been put in at the lounge bar. You have to purchase a pair of 3D Glasses from behind the bar for £1.50 each. Without the 3D glasses it's just like a blurry screen but still watchable, with them I can barely notice a difference. In other words, don't waste your money on a 3D TV, we're losing customers instead of gaining them thanks to this new ztyping TV. If by traditional 3D Glasses you mean the ones with the blue and red lenses, no they won't work, you have to wear a pair of custom 3D Glasses, they look like oversized sunglasses.

@Aro: They're "Polaroid Glasses", iirc&afaik

3D screens are a gimmick.

@Aro: Yes I meant the Red and Cyan colored glasses, and no, I'm DEFINITELY not buying a 3D TV... Those RC glasses work well, because I can just turn the RC 3D options on using my NVIDIA functions.

Yep, it was a long time before I realized that they were $5 per glasses on eBay... Now I can play CoD or CS or Wolfteam in 3D =D
