Have had fun with AlphaImage again. Spent a day trying to create holographic broadcast screen effect and pretty happy with results. Both have simple animation for even nicer effect.

I love them, but maybe a little more transparency on the holograms would sell the "I'm composed entirely of light" thing. Also, needs 'H' on forehead. QUICK_EDIT

I find it more special that the headlights on units. The latter is possible because of Ares. However these holograms look unbelievably smooth. _________________
Ares allows to use multi-faced alpha image. New code can calculate correct facing out of total frame counter. So 32-faced Alpha image serve well for a headlights.
HasSpotlight= is nice feature but i havn't found any use to it yet.
As for holos, there is nothing special indeed.
Exept probably fact it have fncking good AlphaImage.
And animation.

WOW! I would assume AlphaImage is not in TS? if thats true........someone *cough* CCHyper *cough* should consider adding it to TS. That would be awesome! _________________

Thing is,people never try to think outside the box,at stuff such as crop fields,which could be easily implemented(sandwalls anybody?)
TI B.E.M uses the same technique for a while now too.
