Well by the looks of it he also reversed the lighting however he didnt remake the grey onion dome or anything.

Yeah I had to do a lot of re-lighting. You guys are also acting like I'm missing the animations I clearly said that there wasn't anything besides the base frames. I spent all this hard work and you are saying this is worrthless what I did was had. FYI I made the beta Conyard which had the gold dome instead of the "Grey" one. If you want the Alpha version make it your self.

Okay tell me what is wrong with mine? @Speeder BrianPrime is doing the build up, not for me but he is though. This is something I thought I would do for fun and release I have never seen someone do this before other then those noobs that just "mirror" it in Paint and then go say "look i did pre-relise buildign"

So, you want a cookie or something?

It doesn't mean much without the anims or buildup. Your time would be better spent duplicating this as a 3d object, then converting.

What you've done isnt bad, it's just that in it's current state it's useless. You should have waited until you had some anims and a buildup before posting this as a download. I mean think about it, what good what it do to put this into game without them.

just out of curiousity, what makes it a Pre-Release? I'm not sure I understand this. Cause in a side by side comparison it looks identical to the one already in RA2?

if you look at the pic I took the existing one from RA2 and mirrored it, then redid the symbol and I see no difference.

no,no, you miss understood me I'm not downing your work at all. I want to know what makes a particular building a pre-release, I mean what differs from a pre-release to a already ingame one. And your right I did post the wrong pic, those are both your base units with just different fronts, i'll post the other one to show what I was talking about.

the graphics were different in the beta tests/pictures from the final game.
the Beta conyard; the one never shiped with the game (except via the destruction animation), faced a different way (like the war factorys and refinarys)

This is useless, because the hardest bit of making buildings is the animations. No one is going to use this as a base because

1. CNP animations is a nightmare
2. If I can make those animations I am very very good either at 2d art from scratch or 3d rendering.

That image is from the alpha build of Red Alert 2 it was still when they photoshoped the snow onto the buildings. And these pictures were teasers. Also if you notice that the crane in the alpha picture that conyard is completely different from the beta version, the crane is smaller, there is more remap, and the onion dome is obviously a different color. Cranium you were doing all that commenting with out even knowing what the beta construction yard even looked llike? Or am I wrong?

Like I said I havent seen to many pre-Release stuff, however it still dosent change the fact that this isnt worth much without the rest of the "whole" package. So wether I've seen the actual image of it or not really dosent matter.
I also said your work looks good and that I'm not downing your work at all. But if someone has to do all the rest of the work as far as the anims and stuff why wouldnt they just make the base themselves as well? because thats the easiest part of the whole process.

Well anyway this was originally going to be for my use only then when I got close to finishing the construction yard I figured well someone could use this maybe so I released this instead of what most people do is just leave it lying around on there computer doing nothing. So does that explain why I released it?
