I'm honestly better at SHP stuff then voxel making, and I wanted to ask, is it possible to make an MCV solely from SHP form and not voxel and still have it work correctly?

Of course it's possible, vehicles don't have to be in voxel format. SHP vehicles have their downfalls such as not being able to have frames whilst traveling up slopes and ramps, they can't have tilting frames either but despite the downfalls they also have benefits such as additional detail and animations.

Check out DTA. All units are SHPs, also the MCV.

Though keep in mind that RA2/YR doesn't support 32 facing SHPs like DTA, so you have to stick to a 8 facing unit which might look a bit strange when turning ingame.

They actually dont look to bad with only 8 facings. The only bad thing I have to say about .shp vehicles is as Aro mentioned. The ugly way they climb up and down the ramps/slopes. But the high detail and anims make up for it. Wink

RA2 is flat anyway without any terrain deformation possible, so the slope movement isn't really a problem too. #Tongue

Other issues to be aware of for shp units in stock RA2/YR

- Rocker=yes won't work

http://www.modenc.renegadeprojects.com/Rocker

- Jumpjets are limited to one shadow (rocketeer one I believe)

- [AircraftTypes] not possible well at least building airpad ones

- IsTilter won't work thus DirectRocker (YR only tag) won't work too
