I was thinking about the recent surge in 3d movies and I remembered hearing about the graphics card makers starting the movement to 3d, and when I googled it, lo and behold, you can get glasses and apparently, theres 'over 400 games' that already work, atleast with nvidia's tech. So, has anyone tried 3d gaming?

No, and I don't want to. It will be a glorified Virtual Boy and the VB made me sick.

You actually played on one? Aww, ztyping cool! Ive never actually seen one in person.

Yeah, I looked up modern 3D gaming once. I wouldn't mind at least trying trying to play one with the 3D glasses that use the rotational polarization, like how modern 3D movies are. But its a gimmick. Games should be about game-play, story, & fun, not gimmicks.

They're alright for about five minutes and then you get sick. Did have a few decent games though like the one with Wario. Too bad I felt shitty about ten minutes in.

VB did not have any "good" games... as you got sick just from playing for a few minutes. Rolling Eyes

VB was a horrible abomination to gaming, and should never be mentioned again.

My VB is in a box in my parents attic were it will stay tell I can look at again to burn it!

3D Gaming... F YEAH ITS DER SHIT. How would you get sick of building exploding, bodies flying everywhere, and my favorite jumping from planes and high heights.

If you don't want it, I'll take it off your hands. I collect video game stuff like that so I wouldn't mind adding it to my small collection.

You too, FurryQueen?
You would love to see my collection. I got all kinds of classic stuff. My favorite is my top-loading NES-2. That, or my Commodore 64. But I got alot of that kind of stuff. I don't go by Atari2600 for nothin'!

I've always been a huge fan of old shit like the Atari 2600. Unfortunately, at the current time, I can't afford much in the way of expansion, but I will eventually.

Truth be told I should sell my VB on ebay. It looks as if I could get some money for it. Maybe I should sell my Rob the Robot too. Razz

The virtual boy is one thing, which I'm assuming was that thing nitendo showcased at E3? I heard that works by having the pixels in every other row 'face' a slightly different direction to give the illusion of 3d. If it makes you sick, thats understandable, as a minority of people do get sick/headaches when watching a 3d movie.

On the otherhand, I think 3D has huge potential with the PC, as the only peice of equiptment I need is the pair of glasses. I've got the video card, and games are by their nature 3D, and the few reviews I've read is that they are incredible. Since they are naturally 3D, they are more like Avatar or Toy Story 3 than say shitty moviews where they apply 3D as an after affect. I don't know anywhere around my area where they showcase 3D PC games, so I'm looking for an opinion of someone's who's tried it firsthand.
