Create your on PPM Emoticon Competition

Just a thought but how about a small community competition to design the best C&C themed smile/emoticon

A competition for everyone from pixel artists to 3d animationists

It only requires a comparatively low skill level to make one plus more than just the winning item could be used for an official PPM emotion.
I think it could garner a fair few participants because of this large scope?
Maybe top 3 could become official at PPM or something ?

On a side note I think Emoticons of each C&C game logo would actually be quite useful as well as fun.

Just an idea.... I'm bored of the old Emoticons and there not relevent or unique to PPM #Tongue

I'm all open for this idea, however I'd rather make a pack of emoticons instead of posting a single one.

This whole project seems like a fantastic idea. I would love to see icons for each faction from C&C games! That sounds like that would be totally useful!

Well, I didn't really have a practical method to change the remap color to grey at the time (and I still don't)...

By the way, the one I uploaded is actually 150% of the original size, which looks kind of crooked.

But please change it so, that Seths head falls forward after being shot and afterwards let Kane move it not only to the left but let the head also drop down after he pushed it a bit to the side.
Some small blood splatters flying to the left would be nice too.

I got a mixfile full of C&C1 units palettes, each with a different remap colour, covering all of the colours present in C&C1. All you had to do was ask #Tongue

Well the pentagon wasn't recognisable... I took a brighter pic of it, cut out the actual pentagon, resized it and pasted that on your pic. It's more visible now Smile

To be honest, although Wess' pentagon looks like a bolt, I think it's still slightly more recognizable as the pentagon than yours..

It's too much of a pain to fix up the color of that emoticon now that it's already a gif however (the only way Photoshop would allow me to do that is frame-by-frame Sad

).

btw, this goes for everyone... if you make smileys with transparency, don't make edges fade to white, it looks awful if the background colour is different.
