radiation can affect buildings if you change the warhead verses, and make sure buildings aren't immune.

Infantry and units use ImmuneToRadiation=
Buildings use IsImmuneToRadiation=

also add Radiation=yes to the [NewRadSite] warhead

radiation cannot damage buildings even if verses is set to damage buildings.

I disagree, in pic, deso is damaging cnstyard with radiation even at the outer edge of the radiation field.

Isn't it that buildings default to ImmuneToRadiation=yes?

Maybe IsImmuneToRadiation=yes is the default for all buildings unless otherwise specified via the tag on the building.

Well after doing further testing and trying several work arounds, seems ArvinCool is 100% correct. Though it seemed to be the radiation dealing the damage, it was infact the weapon dealing the damage and not the Radiation.
So in conclusion, sorry kenosis, Radiation cannot deal damage to buildings.

I even tried giving it a dummy anim on the warhead that delivers damage via art.ini, but that failed too. IsImmuneToRadiation=no nor ImmuneToRadiation=no had no effect either. I have to say it's 100% hardcoded not to deliver any type of damage to structures.
