Okay, so I need you guys to hunt for what you think is beautiful Nod Architecture. Preferably if they're already existing or have nod colors, but I need a good compilation of Nod Architecture screenshots or concepts. It's not as easy as you think to google "Brotherhood of Nod Buildings", plus so much crap comes up... I think maybe i should ask the community, what their favorite type of Nod Architecture. Images, please? Smile

I kinda like this architecture which actually was designed for TO by many persons, like Shur, Gangster, Audiopulse, Blubb, Orac, Vef and me (and somebody else I can't remember right now). Smooth, round edges with some exceptions (like ConYard). Sci-fi style, like they're using high tech, but still a bit weaker than GDI buildings. Grey colour mixed with darker grey colours and red remap lines. Red/black warning stripes if possible. I love to model buildings with this kind of style for Nod.

I doubt there are many pictures of Nod architecture, since only TI and TO actually go for a complete new set of buildings. Beside these mods there are afaik only the original TD, TS and TW Nod buildings.

Well, Nod's style as a whole seems to use more dark colours and more curved, smoothed lines by each game, which I find an interesting continuity.

Nod started off with a modern architecture that simply focused in the functionality of the buildings rather than looks. A few famous exceptions were the Hand of Nod and the Airstrip (Not to mention the Obelisk, although it was a combination of curves, black and red from the very beginning).

Tiberian Sun had things changed a lot. Nod had a lot more sophisticated architecture by then, with more black and dark gray favored than ever before. Tiberium Wars took this further as expected, with Nod buildings consisting of black and red, almost without exception.

My personal favourite is indeed black and red, curves, and uncommon architectural solutions such as the "Sydney Opera House style" (On some occasions however, for example the TO radar, I would prefer a more recognizable or down-to-earth approach, such as the TS Nod radar which was easily recognized but still had minor detail that made it slightly futuristic). Perfect examples are the Temple of Nod and Obelisk of Light from Tiberian Sun. Hand of Nod to some extent, but I wouldn't mind it standing erect as it did before.

Take Gothic architecture, replace stone with smooth metal plates, and make all stained glass red.

There was me, but I never managed to finish anything. Well, I tried more GDI stuff... maybe it was daTS himself, tho I can say as well that there was someone else as well.

I really like C&C 3's Nod architecture, especially the the temple, shrine, and conyard.

In TD,there was a a proud Hand of Nod,holding the world.
In TS,there was the pitiful Hand of Hassan, crawling on the ground to lick GDI shoes.

As long as you don't tarnish any more the name of the brotherhood, like CABAL used to say,it should be okay Wink

I liked the Hand of Nod in TS

It was something new and fresh but still looked cool and was most importantly still a 'Hand of Nod' Very Happy

The TS Hand of Nod always looked like a neon sign to me, not a symbol of Nod's might.

On the other hand it was far more realistic and likely design, as the towering hand structure could easily be spotted by the enemy from afar.

I'm not a fan on the TW architecture, mostly because I can see that there are two completely different styles within the side.
There is the angular architecture, like the radar centre, and the organic curvy architecture like the Obelisk.
The Airtower is angular and uses a lot in the way of squares/hexagons/octagons, while the HoN uses entirely curves.

But that's just my personal niggling dislike of artwork which changes half way through.
GDI is a lot better for contiguousness in TW, to my mind.

I don't know, TW Nod architecture is essentially curves combined with blade-like angles. TI's architecture takes from the bladed section, where as TO takes from the curved part. All I can say is that the Air Tower is probably the worst example of Nod architecture.

Dark Color != Nod

I don't really see much resemblance to Nod in the design.

Cybran practically is nod. Maybe not the nod you're used to in TD, but I'd go as far to say that the Cybran's were based off of Nod to a large degree. Heck, I remember many red hexagons similair to nod ones in the cutscenes...

They look like the C&C4 Nod to me, if anything Nod, maybe a little less stupid but none-the-less not preTW Nod.

Looks like Nod and the Covenant had a 'Lets touch dicks' sleep over. As for Nod designs..

Jesus, go outside this gray and red box of depression.

I'd love to see a Nod in DooM's hell palette of colors. Green marble, stone brown and gray, some bits of high-tech here and there. Hell, throw in some people getting crucified. Maybe a sculpture of Kane with blood pouring from its mouth? #Tongue

Or, perhaps a more corporate looking Nod like in the concepts for that Tiberium FPS? Anything to break from the monotone of Gray steel/red that every mod and game after C&C 1 did. Not to be rude to designers who DO follow the pattern, but... its been ten years since Tib Sun. Something new for Nod, PLEASE.
