You should credit orginal author. and why should you get credit? you made a five minute convertion. If you fixed(remake) the shadow to correct angel, then you could get credit.

Would help to know the original author, and it'd be even better if you converted the infantry into the proper spot in the SHP. >.>

EDIT: And "fixing" the shadows is a simple 30 second color replace job.

To show my appreciation for this unit (it's rather nice and fits in with Soviet weaponry/mentality of heavy warfare weapons) I've went about developing an edited version for RA2 use. The muzzle animation has been removed (improper colors for RA2) and it has been resized down to RA2 size (I used a downsize to 77% original value) for best fit. Included in the readme is a sequence to use.

Andrewmarley should edit his original post and credit Balou for the original infantry and Killzone 2 for the original icon.

Why not? Was personally a fan of your work and had plans to slowly bring all my infantry up to the quality of Civ3 if you had kept putting out releases.

Guys,can you better tell me how to make good shadows in shp builder?so i've found "auto shadows" function,but it can't be selected and i don't know why

When the shadows are in the SHP, just change color 02 to color 12 with the color replace tool. That'll fix your shadows to be like RA2.

The right colour sure but they're a little big for RA2 infantry IMO. I'm no 3D or generally lighting expert but I'd say try moving the light more over the top of the character.

You could look at some existing structures for their shadows, and modify them. I'd try hand-painting them to be as close as you can care to get them.
