The buildup was just a modified Westwood Allied barracks with the pole moved. Looked pretty much like the one you just posted. _________________ KGR | AT

I dont think it's off at all. It's just the way the buildup makes it look. If you watch the tower, it goes straight up and at the end it's centered. Looks great to me. _________________

What makes it look 'off' could just be the fact the animation stops in the middle when the tower reached the full height. It feels like 2 stages, while all original buildups are one long fluid motion. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
The way those pipes appear in the middle part of the building doesn't look right. They should start from one side and connect to the other one, not just appear and grow larger.

The Soviet's new Red, now it isn't an off looking red that looks pinkish. This red aims to be more the red in the Alpha Screen shots, which was closer to the remap red.

It would be easy enough to get the HSV value for the original red ingame, convert it to RGB, and see where the RGB shows up on something that's in that screenshot, like the Warfactory. Then finding the exact same spot on the War Factory in your screenshot and getting that RGB would in turn allow for it to be converted into HSV. QUICK_EDIT

I don't understand how posting a color is leaking mod assets? It's not like you created the color. If I figured out how to make the color on my own and released it as a part of my mod, then you've got no claim.

The Underground Battle Lab has wrong shadow color, otherwise they looks nice.

Not a fan of the new red, looks too deep and artificial... doesn't quite blend with the game as well as the old one IMO. I also feel that Con Yard needs a lot more shadow work, just feels flipped atm, for example the black line on the left of the concrete base. QUICK_EDIT

All YR assets will be removed. The conyard is still a work in progress. We're going to revamp every structure with new snow and new lighting, and possibly new shadows. _________________ PreRA2 Dev Lead QUICK_EDIT
This is showing the true lighting changes that we have done to the Soviet Construction Yard, As Prime said before the lighting was completely redone in Photoshop minus the crane shadow. Basically this shows frame 29 from our build up and Westwood's frame 29 flipped from the build up.
Our new Allied Construction Yard, it was completely redone because our old one was just garbage and completely jpeg'd up, now with my png quality Alpha screen shot we are able to produce far better results. The Build up and the undamaged frame is all we have so far, but that will change in no time. Also this is a base I made in multiplayer it's basically our Allied Screen Shot map.

Today, I'm proud to anounce the new title of the mod!
Red Alert 2: Going Back In Time To Early 2000 And Stuff, or:
RA2: GBITTE2AS.
I figured that was easier to remember than PreRA2, and had a better flow.
I'm also removing the art aspect of the mod. Instead, I'm going to use public assets to show solidarity with the community, such as Mooman's and The I-Man's stuff.
Some of that material isn't available anymore due to sites closing, so for some I'm going to use placeholder images directly from prerelease screenshots, without editing at all so that it feels GREAT.
Units:
- Light Tank (the cool one from the mix files)
- HIND for the soviets
- Howitzer for the allies (and its the wrong color so it'll be camouflaged when you use it against the soviets!
- B2 Bomber "Fortress" with 2 nuclear bombs
- Apache w/ the great Tiberian sun voxel as a placeholder.
These changes mean I can finish the mod in a few weeks, so expect a beta in the coming days! In order to protect the RA2 feel, I'm not going to be using my custom menu radar animation with the old RA2 logo either, that logo wasn't used in the beta and the beta is more cool.

I have been revamping some of the Allied vehicles(The Prism, Grizzly, Mirage tank). And here is the new Allied Power plant and our new Allied Service Depot. And I had to photo edit in the new Pre- release rock because there isn''t one in the base. And yes we will do full remap for the Tesla Tank and V3 because this is a PRE-RELEASE mod. >_> Plus, it fits in with the alpha Heavy Tank. The Allied Power plant has active animations and snow done.

No. Soviet vehicles will have remap. Allied vehicles will stick to the more current standards. Light tank included... The reason I like the all-remap soviet vehicles (well, not ALL remap), is that when you're in the campaign, the wall of soviet red is impressive (such was the original intention of those voxels.)
All allied buildings will follow a coherant visual style - I am making changes where necessary to preserve a nice unified standard. Hence the edits to the service depot despite the absence of any screenshot (yellow barrels, blue crane)

I dunno, the Service Depot doesn't look too hot IMO. Yellow wouldnt be out of place considering the Con Yard still has a yellow claw and yellow warning stripes like the Barracks. QUICK_EDIT
