Here is a question that I have that has probably been reiterated many times before: How would you make, say a mammoth tank, using VXLSEIII?? Any answer or tutorial would be GREATLY accepted.

Voxels are actually extremely easy, it's getting them right that's hard. But, practice makes perfect. And so does patience I suppose. Laughing

Both ways can deliver really good results.

Regulus's Tiberian Dawn: Renegade is being populated by 3ds2vxl vehicles, while in contrast we have Azri Apoc's work which is by hand.
Both work, its just a question of which you find easier. I work to a mix of the two, especially when trying to make organic-looking voxels.

The answer to the poll question is quite obvious. It's hard to get into Voxel editing at first, managing the 3 planes and creating a coherent image out of it, but ultimately its MUCH easier than making models.

I'd use size 72 for the MUCH but that'd be kinda spammy.

If you're strictly working with vehicles. I would recommend VXLSE III, other than that its Gmax/3DS Max if you're going to be a graphics all rounder.

Orac made a good point. Quality depends on how much time you dedicate yourself on making them. Normally, I use Blueprints to cut labor time when I make voxels by hand by using existing 3 view orthographics drawings you can find on the internet to hand drawn paper concepts. Its best to visually plan out your project before jumping in.

That's what I usually do. I'm great at GMAX and since I found a tutorial on GMAX2VXL, I have my answer. Razz
