Will it happen?
I know that many of you guys (especially the original members) are at least 18. When Crimsonum left for the army, it made me wonder if you older guys will get tired of the community and move on in life. I know most won't though.
(And yeah I know he is actually still here)
You older members give great advice to the newbies of the C&C Community. (unless they are complete noobs)
I'm wondering if you guys will leave and by then, people who joined around 2009 or 2010 like me will be considered a veteran of the community. (usually takes a few years)
Then with you guys out of the picture, we give the advice to the newbies of 2014, 2015, etc. We'll be the known members.
Sometimes passions die, sometimes they burn forever. Alot of people turn their passion into a profession! The important thing is that the passion lives on. Don't douse the flame, pass the torch. _________________ You come for the modding but you stay for the Crap Forum. QUICK_EDIT
I've been visiting PPM since 2003 (which was approximately the same time I stumbled upon TiberiumSun.com) but never bothered to actually register until someone suggested I shared some of my old maps here. So yeah, I'm one of the older community members, and until Twisted Insurrection is complete, I'm still going to be here.

Been here since 2005. I'm 20 (almost 21) now, but I don't have any plans on leaving soon. Not until I have released my mod though
I'll probably stick around for a couple of years, providing advice where possible.
This all of course as long as RL gives me time for it... QUICK_EDIT

Yeah, a lot of people have. But we still have a good strong core group who keep coming back.
I first showed up in 2007, and then totally forgot about this joint until I stumbled upon it again in late 2008, but it wasn't until late 2009 that I became any semblance of a regular. Now, for well over the past year, I make sure I stop by once a day at the very least.

I've been around since end of 2004. Registered on PPM, once I was banned from TibSun, due to being a complete retard (Wouldn't say that much have changes since then, heh).
I remember when PPM forums had custom skins, when Savagewars was still around, and seeing around 75% of the announced mods on PPM, dying.
Oh, and Seveleys. iLoo has nothing on him.
I still check PPM a few times a day, to see if any interesting topics would appear. _________________ DUNK! QUICK_EDIT
I have been modding since '05 and I only joined the PPM sensation in about '09. I say that I don't produce much things to put up on PPM but for my time being here, I have learned a lot of cool modding tricks. I got a feeling that PPM will still have the same questions about GLA tunnel networks in RA2 and other subjects that almost get asked once or twice a month. QUICK_EDIT

OMFG, Ackron. And Sevelys. Sev and I had... issues.
I've been around PPM since 04 (lost the password to my other account after a month), and TiberiumSun.com (before it became TibWeb) since late 03. I'll never, ever lose my love for the modding community. I joined when I was 14. I'm not 21. I was there when Retro was released... I was THERE! _________________ "Reality is a lovely place, but I wouldn't want to live there." -Adam Young QUICK_EDIT
I'm quite an old member myself, I didn't go active until 2009 or 2008 though, I can't remember, but I've signed up ages before, left silently, and came back just as silently as a "new" member
I still facepalm at certain old posts I made...I was probly around 10 years old when I made those posts...
EDIT:
Just gonna write abit more, because of the nostalgia...yeah, I remember, TS Retro, ztyping awesome it was, played the entire GDI campaign and Nod campaign over and over because it was that awesome...and yeah...Good ol'days of TumSun, wish it was still alive...
Anyone still remember Firestorm and his voxels? Hell Yeah I remember _________________ Please, I DON'T read the signature rules of the forum. Last edited by inzane krazy on Sun Jan 16, 2011 7:32 am; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT

Omfg... I remember as I started. Posting some poor voxels. And the later moving to modding creating my mod. Those were the days.
Guys you should give all your knowledge to new ones, or there will be no one to mod.
^ Yeah, I remember started making crappy voxels from start, and then I got inspired by Migeater's method of making voxels using blueprints and painting Normals. And then compiled a personal version of VXLSE III adding extra shortcut keys. Apart from that, I used to do ROM Hacking before I joined PPM in 2007. _________________

I've been lurking to Sleipner's Stuff, PixelOps, CnCDen, YR Argentina, Savage War and YR Squared in 2005. I did some little modding and I failed to understand modding so after that I lost my modding interests in 2007 - 2008 and came back in 2009 after I graduated in High School. Finally after a year I joined in PPM just to learn more programming and participate in Ares. TBH Red Alert 2 is my inspiration to do programming in IT. _________________ Ponies are not awesome. I still remember when daTS here showed up, he was a bit of a spammer in the day
I have forgotten a lot of stuff from those days, names mostly, seeing it was a hobby to change names every week!
Ackron, he was that guy with the nod cat right?
lol at least once a year a topic like this pops up and we all become nostalgic _________________
I have been around since the pre TS days, never come active until '04 where i joined the old 'Sun forums, then later come here. Had no clue about modding until i joined Tiberium Sun.
Ill be around for some time, finish up the patch, and anything else i need to get done. Then ill be moving on i suppose. QUICK_EDIT

Damn, I knew there would be this many replies. (Ixith, it's not what you think)
I never knew Ackron was such a memorable person. All I knew about him was his voxeling.
MyHistory:I'll be honest guys, I said I was around the TiberiumSun days but that was a lie. I only found PPM and TibWeb around the same time in October, 2009 so a year and a couple months. The only reason I knew about Felix and such and how it shut down was by viewing TibWeb's history.
First mod that I ever played was Ultima Mod, back in summer, 2009. Before I found here.
First tutorial I ever looked at was LKO's modding tutorial for newbies. The first one after was the Demotruck Tutorial for TS. On Febuary 19th, 2010, I joined TibWeb. I couldn't post because back then, I didn't understand account activation with the whole Email business. Then I came on March 4th and made 100 posts in a month.
My first post had many grammar errors (mostly capitalization) It was for my first mod done by myself. The first reply was Team Black. Then when I posted my first map, who else would reply, Ixith.
The people have given me the most advice are:Aro, Team Black, Ixith, ^Rampastein, LKO, Omegabolt, MT.
I joined PPM in April, 2010 and was unable to use it. Now I can at last with a new account.
--------------------------End of Nostalgia.
Yeah, I have quite the memory, kind of scary sometimes. QUICK_EDIT
I still remember the old members in PPM way back in '05. RLY_big_tanks, Tyler Adams, IcySon, Chielscape, Suiseiseki, Carno, Lt. Albrecht, Sk8erkid, W/P, Clazzy, Ackron, Jah, Denmon, Tratos, and many others I forgot. _________________ Ponies are not awesome. Kill all bronies with fire. QUICK_EDIT
As great as these people may have been I don't see many or any released mods. I mean, Untrue mentioned 14 people but how many of those people contributed to a mod that's of high quality and has since been released. Sure I remember Suiseiseki doing some pretty neat stuff but unfortunately nothing gets finished.
Anyway I was always more a Revora boy until it went into a vegetative state. QUICK_EDIT

I really miss Chiel, Suiseiseki and Albrecht, though Albrecht is still glued to New Vegas and college, he's still trying to find time to mod his mod _________________ Please, I DON'T read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
I actually ran a mod at one point. ... which actually sucked quite a bit, just a fairly basic mod that tweaked TS. ...and added a bunch of new (mostly unused) stuff, more wrecked TD buildings, etc. More atmosphere than anything else.

Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector.
I return occasionally.
I blame TS. :P
It's the game I started modding in, and every year or so, I return to it at some point, usually just to tweak it and play through the GDI campaign, and maybe parts of the Nod campaign.
Carno's still here, but you'll never know who he is. ...unless he tells you.
I'd like to remind everyone that my existence is still factual, as are my occasional visits to a given amount of sites bearing a certain nostalgia to me. In the meantime, I hereby announce that swallowing a thesaurus has no adverse effects on your well-being and can only exponentially enhance your linguistic faculties.
Translation: Sevelys still live. Sevelys sometimes visit PPM. Sevelys now speak good.
BTW, I'd prefer to be called SeySayux from now, if you don't mind.

Aah, the frequent stfu comebacks. I'll never forget the first time I did one, back in elementry school.
@Tyler Adams:At last! Somebody who stills plays through the campaign other than me. Take that Team Black!

You'll still be able to play TS just fine with the other discs, just not the nod campaign (and who still plays the campaigns anyways.. )
I remembered that. Yep my memory is scary. QUICK_EDIT
