Decided to try my luck at 3D Modeling and this is the first thing that came to mind. Any advise on how to improve it?

Use more examples of crystals to get a sharper look - Google images is good for that sort of thing:

It already look great like that.
If you really wanted to change something,the only thing could be to make the base of the crystals more blurry and/or messy,because right now,it might look a bit like 4 perfectly shaped crystals are just dropped in the pod (but it's really only if you're trying to find something wrong at all costs)

hehe is it just me or do the pods look like cow turds? o_O
Anyway, besides the pods, they look pretty good Smile Maybe make the transparent effect a little less.. try making it look denser (less transparent).

The Tib crystals are too transparent IMO, but they've got a nice textures. I'd maybe keep the transparency but try make the edges stand out more.
