I keep getting IEs whenever I use the Terror Drone (which is now an infantry). I buy it, tell it to run around a bit, then the game IEs. This started to occur after I tinkered with its speed and locomotor. Before that, the game ran fine and didn't IE on me. And it still IEs even when I've reverted back to the units default codings :/ Any help?

I'm pretty sure that m7 was using the Terror Drone as an infantry in his own project, which used Ares, so I would remove the effects of NPatch from testing (Use a clean install of RA2, I'd say) and see whether the Drone works with vanilla YR or Ares...

I suggest that you use those codes in vanillia ini files and 1.001(no np/rp/ares) and see if it works.
I remeber when I had a unit which caused IE for no reson. I posted it here on PPM asking for help. I think it was canium who copied my codes and tried them in his mod, and it didnt crash! Surprised
It was some wierd NP shit. Maybie you have the same thing?

Yesterday I just converted the DRON to infantry format.Everything works all right.I only changed the Image= tag.Maybe you can try that.

You can use DeathAnims= to give it explosion anim(s) as Explosion= is pointless to declare for infantry as it won't apply and that deathweapon could be invalid...

Why do you have DoubleOwned tag ? Maybe that is the cause ?

While a unit was being created, the engine tried to check whether this unit had a MindControl=yes on its primary weapon's warhead, which was actually blank.


This should have nothing to do with the DRON. Check other codes.

DoubleOwned tag is parsed but not valid anymore. I dunno why WW removed it.
