Should be the easiest task in the world... but I seem to be too silly for it.

Extracted bombcurs.shp from the original MIX-files. Used OS Shp Builder to remove the last frame. Saved it. Put it in ecachemd97.mix. XCC Mixer tells me it has 12 frames - perfect! It originally had 13.

Put ecachemd97.mix into the game directory. No other mix files which contain this file.

Restarted the game... 13th frame (the one with the skull) still visible. I don't get it. Call me an idiot - but please help me.

use expandmd.mix instead of ecachemd.mix

It works, thanks. I never understood the difference between expandmd and ecachemd. I simply always did what other mods do: put SHP files in ecachemd and all other stuff (TXT, HVA, VXL, ...) in expandmd.

Why does this not work here? Take UMP for example. All SHPs, which are used to override the existing SHPs, are located in ecachemd. And that's exactly what I tried with bombcurs.shp.

If there is a site explaining the difference - please tell me. I would like to know more about it.

Use XCC Mod Creator, this file is a part of "interface" rather than normal "shp", so, you see.
