How to get rid of or change Cameo Text?

does anyone know how to remove or change the text on cameos?

www.ppmsite.com/downloads/InstallOSSHPBuilder3.36.exe
File > New
Game: RA2
Type: Cameo

Press 'No' on the box that comes up

Palette > Red Alert 2 > Cameo
Paste Image in, do NOT resize box

Tools > Misc > Cameo Generator
Type in name
Save

Tools > Misc > Cameo Generator
Add Veteran Symbol
Save with different name

And there you have a new cameo.

Cheers but i don't want to make a new Cameo i want to change a old one iver by removing the text altogether or changing it

Hmmm I don't know if you can get the cameos without text anywhere, but then I've never looked.
The way I'd do it is extract the cameos of which ever units/buildings you want to edit using the XCC mixer, draw a black box over the writing, then do this:
Quote:
Tools > Misc > Cameo Generator
Type in name
Save

Tools > Misc > Cameo Generator
Add Veteran Symbol
Save with different name

The Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge cameo text is edited on to the actual SHP's themselves, so in order to remove the text you have to edit them manually by hand with some form of image editing tool (Photoshop, Paint Shop Prop etc.). However, you're in luck since Carnivean created a Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge textless cameo pack many a year ago. You can download the pack here.
