Wall logic?
Subject description: How can i change?
Is there any option to change the wall logic and by that i mean:
that i want to change the tiles that are build every time you build a wall there is like 5 tiles of wall, i want to change it to 10.
It should be possible, the laser fence has 10 tiles (or around that number)
Bittah, you're quite right, though the walls are hardcoded to have GuardRange=5.
So the only ways for him are, to
a) open game.exe with a hex editor, find GAWALL and NAWALL and replace these 2 strings with YYYZZZ and XXXYYY (or something else which is likely never be used). So the game really uses the rules.ini settings.
b) create clones of the 2 walls in rules.ini, e.g. [GAWAL1] Image=GAWALL and [NAWAL1] Image=NAWALL and make GAWALL and NAWALL unavailable via Techlevel=-1 _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
It seems you're right about that. I actually didn't even know it was hardcoded, since I already gave walls a different ID when I initially coded them into DTA. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
