Hamachi help Please....

me and a buddy are trying to play a game with Hamachi, but cant seem to get it working correctly.

I'm using XP and he's using Win7
We both followed XP and Win7 tutorials posted here at PPM
We are using Hamachi2

We can join one another in hamachi and chat with one another in hamachi.
But when we start up YR and go to Network, we can never see each other in the lobby area.
Are we doing something wrong?

Do you have UDP patch installed? Well, I have ever encountered the same problem, which was proved to be due to bad network condition.

he has the udp patch installed, not me. XP dosent need it right?

Ditch Hamachi and use Tunngle. I've found it works so much better than Hamachi has in the last couple of years.

Both need it. The UDP patch ditches IPX and enables UDP. Since RA2 uses IPX by default, everyone needs the UDP patch.

However, m7 is right. Fuck Hamachi, use Tunngle.

May I humbly suggest CnCNet as well? It's a lot more lightweight than Tunngle or Hamachi. Even though RA2 isn't mentioned in the guide it should work the same way as TS.

If CnCNet doesn't work for you go to the chat and bug either me, hifi or anyone else who might offer to help. Wink

Thanks for the feedback guys. Although I've heard Tunngle is better than Hamachi, I'd still like to use Hamachi. However, we still cannot get it to work. We both now have and are using the UDP Patch. Below are the settings I have set for Hamachi adapter. Are they Correct? and for the DNS Server, do I use the gateway address for my dsl modem? I have a feeling that setting is wrong, but I dont know. Confused
