Holy...although I think you might want more blades on it. Make a visible seam for the 30mm chingun from the hull, too. All in all, it's a very, very awesome WIP.

It HAS 5 blades, the fifth is just not visible in the shots.

He is using Maya (iirc) and not 3ds max, so i doubt infos about his skylight settings would help you further in max.

It's something that comes with Mental Ray in Maya. Not sure if it's present in Max, but it's called "Physical Sun and Sky". It simulates realistic sunlight.

hmm. Mental Ray has a Physical Sun and Sky in 3DS too. V-ray and my computer obviously don't get along, so I shall try MR.

The settings I use for physical sun and sky are default. As the rendering proces (and quality) is not main priority as for now. First I want to finish the model. There is still work to do.
