Heavy Artillery Mech
Subject description: HI I AM A NEW NOOB HERE PLEASE HELP ME TRYING TOO GET THE HANG OF THIS
HI GUYS IM NEW TO THIS. WELL I HAVE BEEN playing with the rules files for a long time now but never messed with the art ini files or shape files. i am trying to use the Heavy Artillery Mech mod. i will credit "machine" but i wont be using it for anything but my own personal pleasure.
so first off i place the art.ini coding within the art.ini file.
next i placed the HWR.SHP FILE within the program files
after that i just used the titan stats and changed the image to hwr
and placed hwr within the units list.
what have i missed because i get an error . i am new to this so please be patient. very soon i would like to learn how to make my own shp files and art files. all help will be greatly appreciated. QUICK_EDIT

ok so i have tried it in the expand01.mix . so im hoping it goes there . i feel like i am having issues with the game find the image file. i wrote the coding like this
[HWR]
NAME=titan 2
image=HWR
(it has standard titan coding from here)
Also i placed the proper coding within the art.ini file which i got from this site.
so the game runs normally until i try to create one the it has the error right as it comes out of the factory QUICK_EDIT
SHPs belong in ecacheXX.mix files, else the game can't find them.
In addition is expand01.mix already used by the firestorm expansion, so you surely messed something up there too, by using that file.
As a modding beginner, never touch the original mix files.

Actually, LKO, AFAIK the directory files overwrite the mix files. No matter which type, may it be inis, maps, shps or voxels.
I doubt thet the error lies there _________________

SHPs are not read directly from the directory. Only inside ecacheXX.mix (and some of the other inner mixes like iso*.mix) files, the game can find them.

Most probably, you have set Turret=yes in rules.ini while the SHP is made as a non-turreted unit.

check your ingame shortcuts. in english TS it's strg+c. The game then creates a pcx image file in the game directory, which you should convert into png format to post it here.
