Yeah. I got a Samsung Galaxy Spica for the moment, and everything was wonderful...until shit happened. I did everything I could: The Samsung/Orange/Vodafone Support was ztyping shit, therefore I don't have any other option than to change it.

I did reinstall Android 2.1, yet it acts as if it would have some sort of virus, yet neither what I have on my SD card (darn it, checked it with 3 antiviruses on 3 different computers.) nor what it is in the phone's proper memory has any virus. I did even install a antivirus for my cell, yet nothing.

So, if we mean of something between 200-315 euros/ 300-470 dollars for me its perfect. I was thinking at either Motorola Defy either HTC Wildfire. If there is ANY better alternative, than I'd like to hear it.

I've had HTC and Samsung Galaxy S phones, and I have to say, as long as your phone has an Android system, you're in good shape. The only non-Android phone I actually liked was the HTC Touch Diamond 2, which is a European Windows phone. So far my favorite has been the Samsung Epic.

I have the HTC Desire Z (rooted) and it seems like the Samsung Galaxy S 2 is a great phone as well.

It depends what you want from a phone and how much you want to spend. The Defy's a pretty good phone, especially for it's durability but I'd suggest getting an HTC one instead if possible. The Wildfire is a nice little phone (my girlfriend has one) but unless you're getting the Wildfire S (which is a bit faster and has a better screen) I wouldn't really bother with it.

For a good mid-range phone, you should probably get the Desire S or even the regular Desire (which is probably really cheap now and still a good phone, although it's probably not going to get too much more in the way of official updates). The Desire HD and Desire Z are basically the same phone but with a larger screen and a physical keyboard, respectively. Both are good phones but the larger screen of the Desire HD takes some getting used to.

If you want a high-end phone, it looks like the Galaxy S 2 is one of the best choices. Either that or wait a couple of months for the HTC Sensation.
Are you wanting to buy the phone outright or on a contract? I had a quick look on the orange.ro and vodafone.ro sites at the phones. The Orange one has very little choice for some reason but the Vodafone one has the original Desire for 369 euros SIM free and 159 euros on a 2 year contract: https://www.vodafone.ro/shop/htc-desire/11880039.12790023.pr
I'm not sure what you mean from the two sets of numbers you posted but I'm guessing you mean price with/without a contract. Do correct me if I'm wrong though.

I meant price as something between 200-315 euros/ 300-470 dollars SIM free. I already have a contract with Vodafone.

Why?

As for what reason I want a new phone is that I pretty much want to use it for music/movies/games since MP4 players here aren't too popular, and the only decent option is an iPod, yet I ain't paying that much when I can get for half the price a Defy.

Wildfire S looks nice, however it ain't here yet and it has a weaker processor and the same RAM (vs Galaxy Spica.)

Sadly I can't afford a Desire HD and Z ain't here as well.

Kinda that's it. Also, again, I really don't trust Samsung or LG. Really. I sometimes really wish Nokia went for Android cell phones.

The problem with Motorola phones is that they force their shoddy interface on you and lock down the phone in an excessive way. You can change the first one by installing your own launcher/messaging/contacts apps but the second one is an issue especially if you plan on rooting your phone.
If you're not bothered by either of them, get the Defy. Engadget gave it a pretty good review (giving it an 8/10 despite their Apple fanboi writers). It's probably faster than the Wildfire S and it has a bigger screen, both of which would be handy for videos/games. I'd probably still say the Desire is a better choice for phone but if you're wanting to keep below 315 euros then don't bother with it since it's 65 euros over. I have a feeling the price will drop in the next couple of months but I'm guessing you'd rather have a new phone sooner than later.

Well, I hope I'll get it somewhere in August, if stuff goes well.

I've got the money, but still have to get that new air conditioner ASAP and usually I like to have some backup money.

If you're getting it in August, just make a post here again and I'll make another recommendation. The smartphone market moves pretty quickly (as I discovered about 3 months after I bought my Hero and the Nexus One was announced) and you don't want to be stuck with a phone that will be massively outdated just after you've bought it.
It might be worth looking around on various websites to see if you can get the phones cheaper. For example, you can get the Desire for 347 euros on Amazon.de (and the Defy for 272 euros}, although I don't know how buying and importing something like that would work for you. If there are any Romanian tech websites, have a look around for any good offers.

2 month bump much?...

Anyways, I'm not getting a HTC, after hearing people having issues with them, plus that I might switch for the Nokia N9...

What sort of issues? Of all the people I know (and I know about ten people with HTC phones) having problems with their phone, I'm the only one and it's a hardware problem that has come out after a while of use (and to be honest probably my fault).

I must admit, I wouldn't criticise you if you went for the Nokia N9. I'd love to have that as my next phone but it isn't coming out in the UK.

I had the Wildfire, if you want the cheapest of the cheapest, and the crappiest of the crappiest, buy it.
