Subject description: New Artillery Infantry

Greetings! I am proud to present you my Siege Trooper, first offical public finished SHP!
Here I made Siege Trooper for Yuri. Yuri needs secondary artillery unit, also infantry which wears anti radiation suit, which can walk to the Moon. So, I decided to use Desolator as base unit.I recolored him into black, to look more evil, and added him extra frames with mortal.
Siege Trooper has two weapons. First weapon is ,,mobile mortar", similiar as Flak Trooper, he can shoot long range High explosive grenade. Second weapon is his deployed mortar. It is same personnel mortar, with Yuri's high technology system, which deploys mortar making it almost double bigger. Siege Trooper cannot move with it until got undeployed, but weapon is itself much powerful and fires at greater range High Explosive canister.
Those weapon effects, trailers are nothing else than meteors effects from TibSun, adapted to RA2's palette.

Thanks man, I am glad you like it!
It can be used as whatever anyone like, for any side. I designed it for Yuri, however, soldier is black colored. For Soviets I think, he should have brick elements... But nah, color is not so important for infantry. It is more important for vehicles.

That's a quite good result for a repaint/manual shp edit. I haven't had time to check the shp yet, but judging from the pictures it looks decent.

My only complain would be, that the mobile version looks a tad too much like the desolator and a changed gun would have done wonders. Especially since the gun in the mobile state doesn't nearly looks like the big mortar tube of the deployed state.
It would have been great if the unit would carry the mortar tube on its back while mobile or use a shorter version of it instead of the desolator gun.

I wish the infantry looked less like a Desolator, but the mortar itself is really good.

Sorry for late reply guys, I was busy this week.

OmegaBolt, thanks man, size of one Mortar Trooper from YR:Squared served to me for comparasion to make mortar itself in good size when deployed.
And yes, infantry should look little more different than Desolator himself. Desolator were perfect candidate for that type of infantry hehe......

Well, actually that gun wouldn't do wonders to soldier himself because it is designed for that purpose, to be in arm. Plus, he is in cosmonaut suit.

Well, like I said, it transforms into big Mortar.
As Yuri can make flying saucers, tanks with brain, magnet artillery, he can make small gun which launches grenade from long range, and can be able to transform into double bigger mortar gun to fireeven from longer range.

Well, that logic doesnot change the fact that I should make weapon that looks bigger and look more on small cannon rather than recolored Desolator gun.
I should spend more work on it, yes.I should make more professional work. That is point, not if small mortar can be able to deploy into bigger or not.

But again, then I should spend more time to make it's gun bigger.
