Back mounted turrets were found unsuitable for pegasi, research continues into a more viable solution to minimise risks.

Existence of ponies, overall, as something enjoyed by the audience of 20 year olds, is just sad. Although the authors did say that they wanted the cartoon to be directed toward such audience.

Dude, it's a child cartoon with no plot and silly storylines/conflicts/everything else and it's all based on feminism, rainbows and cuteness. If anything, it is the definition of a naive show for kids.
I tried watching an episode. It's so ridiculously childish that I cringed for most of it. It may be suitable for a 6-year old, but it is unsuitable for anyone our age. Friends told me: "The thing about it is no matter how it appears to be a kid's cartoon, you can't stop watching it!" Please, that argument can apply to everything. I know I could stop watching it anyways.
I'm tired of the internet, specifically 4chan and what not, telling people what is awesome, popular, and "in". It's like the whole lolcats thing. At least cats are real and fascinating animals. This is just some lame show for kids.
And I'm sorry, but I have a huge thing against anything labeled as "cute and cuddly". Even animals that are considered as such, I treat with curiosity and maturity. Even babies. As for those who post things about ponies to prove a point to/about "haters", all you are doing can be paraphrased with the words "feeding the troll". I don't hate ponies. I'll tell you this much; I have a huge rational dislike for the attitude put towards them (nature is not about "cute and cuddly and rainbow colors", the world is not grey and brown and filled with blood and gore, but it ain't a cute and cuddly place either, that's just another pathetic extreme view), the lack of genuine use to society it has (It is so stereotypical and lacks substance, much less any intelligent point or lesson to teach watchers/fans (friendship is magic? Pathetic, stereotypical, naive, childish and irrational, even.)), and the ridiculous amount of popularity it has gained because of 4chan's power. The art direction isn't even original! Those things existed as toys and targeted child audiences. They were like Bratz, but they were Ponies. What has the world become? Don't agree with the rest of my post, I can understand, but tell me, don't I make a good case in this paragraph?

I know when to let go, when it's not important, when it isn't worth bothering with. The ponies are one of those cases. Stop hating. They're childish, naive, ridiculous, all right. They have all the stereotypical flaws. Yes, some things have flaws, but it's not a flawless or flawed world. Everything has flaws. No such thing as perfection. And it seems like some people don't want to accept that. I urge all to stop it with this ridiculous and worthless fight. Stop hating it, stop defending it. It's a kid's show. And stop listening to 4chan and people who do things "for the lulz". Many are apparently just big children who want their 15 minutes of glory and laughs. (usually at the expense of many others, and these big children seem to also warrant some kind of typical fanboy-ish hate-or-love attitude (and/or a "just because I can" attitude; You can, but eventually you'll get your head up your arse for doing so and the 15 minutes of fame and fun will be over for you (AKA the "Welcome to the real world, kid" part) towards whatever subject they stir up trouble; Seems like a lack of respect, seriousness and direction in life) They appear to be attention whores and simply seem to want to prove that they can do whatever they like. That's a naive point of view. You can do what you want all right. I could go knife a passerby on the street if I wanted. Thing is, you gotta live with the consequences of your actions. And yes, sometimes you might get away with it. Sometimes your excess and ludicrous "lulz" might actually help people defend against such "lulz" or in case it ever gets real and the "lulz" is not just for fun, but actually a real threat. (Like hacking all those sites and online services) All it's doing is distracting people, causing trouble, and annoying the hell out of everyone.
And to the "You can't judge a book by its cover" argument: Sure, I can, but it'll be flawed. Which is why I'm actually judging it for once by its content AND its cover. It isn't wrong to judge something by BOTH art direction and its content. It seems the whole "judge a book by its cover" has spawned extremists who can't accept any criticism to a cover, only to content. I beg to differ. You can comment both and point out the flaws and good points in both. At the risk of sounding like a jerk, I'll just say that this argument is closed and this whole Pony thing should be sent back to oblivion and be just forgotten about.

Besides, there are plenty series which also has plot errors and other crap. Just look over the whole DC Comics.
Also, you can call it pathetic, but there are some people who will classify it as classic, connect it to his/her childhood and never will forget it. Even if it's 20 years old.
I'm not included, because My Little Pony was the reason Transformers G1 got AKON as the producing studio in 1986 and they did a shitty job. Not to mention that half of Hasbro's intelligent staff moved to there. On the other hand, I still like watching Tom & Jerry and Thomas & Friends (the old, non-CGI series). 1. I DO know this guy. In fact, I've even been here longer than you have.
2. I didn't flame him. It's annoying when everyone tries to show their love for this TV show to prove a point. That point is irrelevant and people need to move on from arguing about it. I merely pointed out my opinion; I didn't insult nor judge people who liked them.
3. My Little Pony is a show for kids; End of story. People are giving it more attention that it should get.
4. 4chan has everything to do with these damned ponies. They decided that ponies are "cool" and everyone listened. And people should start hating on 4chan just so that it's seen for how annoying, disrespectful and childish most of its members are. And I'm not judging people here; This is part of my argument.
5. Many "My Little Pony" fans "show their love for My Little Pony" as an act against "haters", or "for the lulz". I detailed why these 2 4chan philosophies are wrong.
6. I wasn't hating on anybody. Carnivean/Suiseiseki is a swell guy, actually.
