A big round up around PPM!
Hello folks, so many things changed here and we've barely posted a news about it.. I'm really sorry, but I was just waiting everything happen, so I could put all of it in one post: this post.
First off all, I'd like to welcome the folllowing projects to PPM:
Both for Red Alert 2. Shadow Of Darkness is a continuation of Tiberian Wars covering a misterious chapter that happened after Kane's victory while RA2: Nuclear Winter happens when the soviets win the war against the allies, but they return in time to save Romanov's life. But there's more:
Tiberian Sun #The fREaK Edition adds a new gameplay to Tiberian Sun although it keeps the "feeling" of Tiberian Sun. Tiberian Evolution is the first mod for Generals with a forum here. It was originally called TT/Gen mod and it was being brainstormed in TumSun forums until the forum gets revamped there. This mod will bring Tiberian Twilight concepts into Generals. You can find much more info for these great projects in the forums.
These were not the only news here, recently. 3D Models Scrapyard is down. It was taken off temporarily because it had not a single support at all. If it had, it would be a piece of cake to make voxels and shp files in a matter of seconds, but it's a pitty that no one understood its purpouses at all. We will re-open it when we get an infantry model ready. But to compensate its lost, we are adding 3 new forums. One for SHPs, one for W3D files and one for voxels. The voxel one already have 4 voxels, 1 pack from Sk8erkid, another one from Sk8er, one from Firestorm and one from FinalMoon. With these new forums, you can share your resources here by making a posts following the rules of the forum. It's great to improve your graphic skills and it can help many modders out there that are in need of voxels. It works in a similar way that our Map Archive works (which btw... people probably forgot its existence ). So, if you have a good map, voxel, SHP files, W3D file and tutorial, you can share it here with the modding community that visits this site.
And if you think that that's all for now, you are wrong again. We are implementing a more strict anti-piracy rules for our hosted sites. So, if you are a project leader with a forum here, please read the Forum Hosting Support recently topics. We've also added new smilies, made a new poll and updated most of important topics, tutorials, etc I've found.
And, no... that's still not all . We have more news: We are looking for affiliates, specially sites related to Generals/Zero Hour and Generals/Zero Hour projects. If you have one, please [url=mailto:webmaster@ppm.cncguild.net">contact us[/url] with your site name, url. Make sure your site follow the rules provided in the 'Become Affiliate' section by having C&C content and by not supporting trainers/hacks/warez, something that really degrades a gamming and modding community.
And before you say "STFU Banshee", it's now time to a round up for projects. I wasn't technically supposed to do this, since if the project leaders wants to promote their projects, they can post news about its development here, however, most of them are a bunch of lazy [<censoured by admin>] (j/k) here, I have to post this:
Tiberian Sun:
- NCM Revolution: Triforce has released a screenshot of the NCM barracks in game some week ago. It's really looking sweet. You can check it out in the screenshot here.
- Rampage: Rampage site has moved to http://rampage.origin-network.net. Also, dEw_MaN was having problems with the first GDI mission. Fortunatelly, he is already receiving some good aid (with a sponsorship of PPM , custom rank to the one who fix it) and his problems are close to be fixed.
Red Alert 2:
- Red Generals: Joe has recently posted a picture of the GLA Stinger Site in Red Generals website. The site shows a possibility of a public beta in the end of this month, although we still need Tratos's word on this. All I can say is that they are really not far from releasing it.
- CnC Memories: Mmk4c01 has recently posted the heavy infantry sketch for RSE (Red Spot Empire) in CnC Memories forum.
- RA2 Massive Destruction: Nobody has posted the whole info in the AI, which will certainly kick ass. Other than building defenses for chrono and air attacks depending on your moves, AI will also do sneak attacks against your infantry with sniping units, they will hunt your miners and hunt your power, specially when your power is already low. They will use tesla troopers to charge tesla coils, so it works even in low power situation, they will defend their base with Yuris and desolators... well, the whole list is here, and of course, they havent forgot to have strategies specifics for a certain general. So, beware with RA2 Massive Destruction AI, so they won't do a massive destruction at your base .
Deezel has also announced some estimated percentage of this project:
- RA2 Exile: Genobreaker has posted some screenshots of the units which will appear in the mod for the allied and soviet sides. You can check them here.
- RA2 Corrupt: Iceman559 has posted the news of the week of his mod and you can find it here with all progress that happened recently there.
- RedUtils: Nobody started the Infantry Animator which is an infantry viewer, good to check the sequence of the infantry. The program is still in alpha stages, so it might have bugs. You can download the alpha here.
That's all for now. Enjoy this place and remember that all the projects are here to be finished. I hope that PPM cooperates for a better C&C modding community. That's really all for today, sorry for the extremely long post. Last edited by Banshee on Mon Oct 13, 2003 3:03 am; edited 2 times in total QUICK_EDIT

these 2 hours were not only to type that... You know? You have to find out what to type, to find out what's up with the projects, make sure that I will write correct info and not lie and etc... it really consumes time, plus the interval for water and few other stuff... it was about 1 hour and a 40 minutes...
