Remake of the jeep voxel found in TIBSUN.mix. Not bugged up either.





Yes, It's very small, but I tried my best to preserve detail in-game.

Comments and criticism please.

Give credit if you use this in a mod or whatever.

A little small but pretty good. I wouldn't remap so close to the turret though.

Arctic screens, I feel there is more detail visible in snow maps, but it could just be the lower lighting.

Even if there isn't any rule, you should upload at least one of the ingames here on ppm. Here are already a lot of voxel without an image because the personal webspace/image hoster was gone long ago.

To your voxel: This is one of rare examples where the ingame looks much better than the vxl viewer preview. However it isn't perfect.
You should avoid using single pixel, because as you can see, they aren't always rendered. Add some anti-aliasing pixel around them, so they give ingame a smoother image.

concerning the remap, you could add a remap fuel canister to the back, make a small logo on the hood and maybe the rear door remap as well.
Also a gdi typical antenna could give it some more detail.

Oh and the rear lights should be non-remap red and not white.

Updated the voxel. The rear lights are now red and the fuel can on the back has remap.

I also made a variant of the voxel with a rocket pod in the back. Use TurretOffset=-64.

Left is your wheel with just a single white voxel
Right is with some antialiasing, adding a small smooth transition from the bright white pixel to the grey wheel.
Usually one additional transition pixel between two different colored ones is enough, except the color difference is very strong.

Also, using lighter or darker pixels to highlight joins and corners can be good (since it does the opposite of what LKO has shown there and brings out the contrast). You mustn't overdo it though, and it can be quite difficult to get right.

I'm hoping artistic skill will come with time, but I feel I'll just be better at shapes versus normals/details for a long time. Laughing
