i want to get some mammoth sound from C&C 3 to put in my TS mod how can i do this what tools do i need and is there also a way of previewing them cheers

There are tools there which extracts almost everything from the game, including sound effects.

JonWil's tools are heavily outdated, I'd suggest using Bibber's Tools. You will need the C&C BIG Extractor to extract the contents of EnglishAudio.big, then use the C&C Asset Extractor to open the global_english.manifest. You should now be able to listen to and extract all voice clips of TW.

ok so everythings working alright i use bibbers exstractor exstract the sounds as waves then convert them to aud with xcc mixer put then in my ts mix put them in TS but the sounds don't work?

This should be taken to the TS Forums, but you did add your new sounds to the sound.ini, didnt you?

No, ecache or expand mix is fine for sounds, the problem here is that xcc mixer does not downsample the audio khz rate down to 22khz and makes 48khz mono aud instead and TS is hardwired to expect 22khz thus it won't play or jams the sound engine. Solution is downsample the pcm audio prior to xcc mixer aud convert.

about any generic Audio editing/converter software, if want free one try Audacity, or dbpoweramp music converter...or non-free ones adobe audition, sony soundforge and so on.

is there something im doing wrong i put my wav (mammoth select) into audacity got to tracks>resample set 22050 khz>export to the folder im using to keeping my sound in>put in xcc mixer>copy as aud to a folder>put in my ecache02>put in game but still it comes up with "sound not found in sound addon: mamselecta" have i done somthing wrong here
