I made a machine gun turret for the soviet siege chopper, but the turret is always drawn on the body. Damn.

Not possible at all, game defaults to always overlap the body with the turret regardless of its position.

A way to get over this is to place the turret at the tip of the body, this way it wouldn't overlap the body, but still it's not so good.
