Subject description: Time to keep news fresh.
Hey everyone. After a tense end of term of my masters course, where I had to skip 6 out of 10 nights to finish every homework in the deadline and some rest, I'm back at posting news about C&C community.
EA doesn't have anything relevant to provide us as a news. Honestly, their C&C popularity contest is a waste of time that won't prove anything, except that there are people who cheat on polls for ridiculous things, because they think that this bracket game will influence EA's opinion. It won't. The games are vote without any defined criteria and there are a lot of fake accounts being created to boost votes for certain games. And yea, my favourite game has failed in the first round (Tiberian Dawn), but that doesn't matters. What we have to hope is to EA deliver games with an interesting storyline and fun multiplayer. They usually focus too much on multiplayer and forget the single player experience.
Without EA to feed news, community sites are relying on mod news, which is interesting for modding communities like Project Perfect Mod. So, my vacation had a terrible timing, heh? But you guys could have helped, if you posted your news at the Community News, like what Speeder did, instead of PMing me the news.
Anyway, here's some of the relevant news that happened in the last month and I've managed to find out about:
-> Remix Escalation 0.9 Beta has been released. Remix is a modification of Contra, which adds and tune up the generals from Zero Hour.
Change Log from version 0.75 to versions 0.90:
- Fixed crash when clicking on Demo GLA tunnel network
- VTOL Optimization no longer takes up a landing slot
- Chem GLA Marauder no longer disappears from the build list when you choose a tech tree.
- Removed Build limit on USA Radar truck
- Stealth General Fake buildings have been fully removed
- Early game infantry rushes are getting nerfed
- Several infantry specific changes are being made, as well as improved anti-infantry options for all generals
- Creator's edited Gamedata.ini has been included to improve network stability and reduce mis-match errors
- All infantry take more damage from explosion weapon types.
- Basic artillery units for all generals now do less damage but more splash.
-> Red Alert 3: Upheaval 1.14 has been released. This mod brings the Uprising units to the original Red Alert 3. It comes with the following changes compared to the previous version:
- Fixed health of civilian structures
- Fixed targeting issues of the Pacifier FAV
- Fixed Grinder Treads upgrade for the Grinder
- Fixed Attack Dog and War Bear that they are not able to attack Cryo Legionnaire and Desolator now
- Fixed all the Reaper issues
