Zombie transformations, how do i do that??
EVA-251 had sooooo much potiential w/ his mod. He gets all the credit to my addition to my brain child. However, i did manage to duplicate his mod to a point, the infantry transform to brutes, which is cool, but zombies are better.
Can anyone help me change that, i could not locate what strings to add or replace, and if it means the mutant generator creats zombies instead of brutes...that would be ok... probably better. I am using ARES. any help is appreciated. thanx in advance. QUICK_EDIT
Read that, and read the Ares Manual's MakeInfantryOwner and InfDeathAnim flags. Using those two flags, the limitation of the one player-controlled mutation and that you have to sacrifice an InfDeath is lifted. QUICK_EDIT

Small problem tho...
How can i change the anime sequence of InfDeath=9 not to show the Brute appearing then turning into a zombie? I do love the fact that the mutant generator creates zombies instead of brutes...Im even tempted to have InfDeath=8 to create zombies too. He he... QUICK_EDIT

If you know which tag you're asking, then why don't you search tat tag out from the ModEnc?

These are my settings. Now what I'm understanding is that the warhead I created begins the InfDeath sequence as the zombie attacks. Now the sequence that Im seeing is InfantryMutate=GenDeath. When I look at the GenDeath string in the Art INI, i see the gentic Mutator Sounds(not art) and the InfantryMelt Sequence, but nothing that would indicate brute transformations. The infantry melt sequence is the same used for nuke, so I dont see that as the part of the reasoning of the Brute appearing before transformation. i guess thats where my confusion lies. I dont see InfantryMutate as a string in the Art INI either, so I'm assuming is a command for the warhead report to the GenDeath sequence, but im still trying to figure all this out. QUICK_EDIT
so i tried to edit GENDEATH, only to result in crashes . when I opned EVA-251 zmod to inspect the sequence, i noticed that he did not edit the gendeath sequence. its exactly the same, yet he managed to pull it off. Any of you have any success? Im still busting my head on this. QUICK_EDIT

OK, let's look at this. Zomstrike has Infdeath=9. According to the InfDeath list, InfDeath9 is InfantryMutate. InfantryMutate animation's GenDeath, it's MakeInfantry tag is 0, so it will spawn the first unit from the AnimToInfantry list.
GenDeath is that freakin animation. You have to create the new turn-into-zombie animation and call it gendeath to make it work. You can even insert a bloody 1x1 1 framed blank SHP and voilá, no more Brute animation.
Report is the audio of the animation, no surprise you can't find that, it's for soundmd.

If Im understanding you correctly, I should be looking for a shp labled GENDEATH. Thats what i need to edit. hmm let me try finding that. then i can just erase the brute with shp builder, so that the framerate isnt desturbed. QUICK_EDIT

Yes. And like NUKEBALL, it waits for GENDEATH to stop playing, so it's safe to have different frames than the original. QUICK_EDIT
thx again 001010011100101110 , im uploading the edited GENDEATH shp without the brute. not the best but good. Its renamed GENDEATH2 so that i can leave the one ingame unchanged and i chanded all the rules and art ini to GENDEATH2. i tested in the game and doesnt look bad at all. plus you can use it for other anim such as werewolfs, vampire and borg assimulation...Resistance is futile. thx everyone for responding and helping.
