Actually I read since that they've scrapped the Akira remake again and they're not currently using US actors, which is good. I can't imagine a live action Akira being at all decent, they'd have to cram it full of crap CGI which should be reason enough not to do it.

and for some reason i'd be really angry if this would be turned into live action, it's 80's cyberpunk and a hommage to blade runner and it has a lot 80's stuff and charme of that time init, punks,industrial, rock, , and i fear i know how it looks it someone made a live action....modernized...just like something of the looks of minority reoport or something else like that that doesn't fit the atmosphere of the original, they should leave it alone.

Seriously, if you look at the old C&C 95 concept art... it's like watching Cyberpunk Anime: The Wargame.
