Not a fan of yellow lasers, and they shouldn't have shadows, but that's quite cool.

Would it be possible to switch from a square base on the towers to round one, like the remap circle?

@Furry, its just a blown up image, thats all.

@Orac, k, i'll change the base and fix the lasers, though I figured yellow lasers would fit the Allieds better.

I think sky-blue would fit better for the allies, with a round base for the end pieces. No shadows for the lasers; they should be emitting light, not blocking it. #Tongue

Other than that, I like it, a lot.

v2 is nice. the only thing is, the yellow thing where the laser is coming from should be the same color as the laser(change from yellow to sky-blue).

^ Agreed. Personally I find 3D models ugly unless there scaled down and sharpened to fit better with the game.

Having said that, I can imagine that it would look good.

I don't really think its good having that brighter area when the lasers meet. Also, the yellow posts are a little odd.

Meh, I dont think the blue lasers look good at all, but thats just me.
It might have looked better if there was other shades of sky blue, but theres only the one

That was my next plan of action, because everyone dont use Ares so using a custom palette with more shades of the sky blues wouldnt work for everyone.

Try a darker blue, and for the active anim, have it shimmer white?

Well, there is actually only one usuable dark blue also. Unless your talking about the violet blues, but I think those would look horible. I think the best thing to do is remap them.

Do a remap version and an Ares version. If these are proper laser fences, they won't work correctly without Ares anyway.

^^This. Without Ares, they cant use laser fence anyway.
Am I the only one who think the lasers should be thinner? They are to fat imo.

Thats right, Laser Fences only work in RA2 and dont work in YR without Ares. I forgot all about that. Well, then I guess I can make a custom palette and a remap version then. But the release wont be tonight now like I had planned. Just these things here consumed my whole damn day and messed up my schedule for other things already. Mad

Thought, I think the base under the laser(not the post/tower) needs to be redone. It is to large. It should be small like how WW did on their TS model.

Well, it seems that LaserFences can only utilize one Fence section. Meaning that you can use seperate, different laser fence posts, however the game is hardcoded to only use the first listed structure with LaserFence=yes. So I will have to make a "universal" type laser Fence section that will fit both the soviet and allied fence posts I'm creating.
I will still release this one here for those of you who only want to use laser fences for allied side only.

I agree with Mig, they don't fully match the allied style IMO, but the remap lasers are a great imporvement. Maybe make the emitters squared more like the prism tower emitters if you want to allied it up. The shared fence sections are a bit of a problem, I don't think the current ones look particularly allied either. Maybe make side specific ones as well as a more generic one if you are planning to make this a public release asset so people can perhaps just implement for one side if they wish instead of multiple.

looks like a more FireStormish but it's good you can make it like a Sonic wall just flip those line on the ground and delete the round shapes on the secion and the delete the laser , and make a sonic like energy coming out of the fliped lines with some Translucent on the ends , for coloure you can make remape if you like.

These latest ones look cool, but the C/P feel sort of kills it for me. There's certainly a mine of style to work with here, but it might be better to differentiate it a little bit from the regular wall style since this strikes me as a bit more high tech.

The last one looks sorta like lego bricks if you ask me.

The 2 before may look C/P but they fit the vanilla buildings so well. Everything else would need to be remade to fit the rest.
