yeah i ve been also tampring with the files , i manged to extract the storm trooper but i have to put him frame by frame in the shp.....dman programs , anyways these sound will be usful Smile

Btw : do you have any programmes that opens slp extension like shp editor?

if you have PSP, you can apply the RA2 unitem.pal right to the image. Then use an animation program to import all the images into a .gif. From there just import the gif into shp builer and whamo.

Have you ever imported GIF with SHP Builder? That doesn't work properly. Not with the GIFs I had.

I'd say to create a palette for conversion. (With using SW remap colors as the remap gradient haven't looked into them yet.)

@Graion, All my animations i make with 3dsmax get converted to gif and importing gifs into shp builder work just fine. I'm not sure what process your doing, but it has always worked for me.

But I think I know what your talking about, I had that happen to me a while back to where it would only import the first image in all the frames. I solved that by increasing the colors to 16 million. Then they imported ok after that.

No, it overlayed all frames. I mean, if the animation had a transparent pixel, but on the previous frame it wasn't transparent, the pixel gets the color from that frame.

Since then I use PNG frames for importing. If it's a sheet, then XCC. But no gifs.

EDIT: Wait a sec... I just noticed those gifs have 16 colors. Not 16 million. 16. Shocked

Yeah, that could be it.

I'd use Ulead GIF Animator,save all frames as files and import.It works fine.
