Quick heads up and SVN is back online.
Subject description: Two days after all soul's day, our SVN is resurrected in the new server!
Hey everyone! We are alive and a lot of things are happening in PPM daily. While I haven't posted any news about them for a while (due to real life issues, not necessarily university this time), if you visit our main website, you might be able to check the News Tracker section, at the right menu, with the latest updates from several mods here. Unfortunately, our news tracker still does not cover everything yet. But it's a matter of time until I improve it, making it catch more news about our hosted mods, progress with tools and content created by users. At the moment, some of these things still need to be reported manually, like what I'll do in this news.
PPM's News of the Week:
-> PPM SVN is back! You can now download the latest builds from OS SHP Builder, Voxel Section Editor III and OS BIG Editor and browse its source code. You'll be able to Flip, Mirror images with OS SHP Builder, export .OBJ models with diffuse and bump mapping textures with Voxel Section Editor III and save .BIG files with refpack compression using OS BIG Editor as well as browse .meg files from games created by Petroglyph, among other things. If you want to browse the source code of these tools, as well as OS: Voxel Viewer 1.82 (which, likewise Voxel Section Editor III is in the OS Voxel Tools project), head to PPM SVN Browser. In order to grab the latest version of these programs, use the links below:
-> New Voxels: Flak Track and Tesla Tank remake, by shin.peter.pan:
-> New 3d Model: Tiberian Sun Silo, by Madin:
-> New SHP files: New icons (cameos) for Tiberian Sun, posted by TiberFCSL (courtesy of C&C Reborn, mod from Blue Hell Productions)
-> New Map for Tiberian Sun: Kalistia Crestland, created by Ixith.
-> ¥R_M0dd€r has published a polemic tool called Buildup Creator 1.0. It was created to aid users to create build up animations for buildings from Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2. The polemic part is that the method used to create these build up animations is very primitive and not coherent with the build up animations created by Westwood. But it may be useful for desesperate people, so feel free to check it out and recommend better ways to automatize build up creations.
-> VenomRage has new screenshots of new units from RevengeForce such as the Infantry Shredder and an even better reponse for this unit from Venom faction.
-> Crossfire has a new poll where visitors can help zeusbig to choose the colour scheme from the new faction called Series. Here's one picture that shows the two candidate colour schemes for Series:
And that's it. I don't need to mention The Dawn of the Tiberium Age, since the last two news already showed very interesting features that will be available in the version 1.11 of the mod. QUICK_EDIT
