was playing around a bit with LDD.
was pretty frustrating until i found out that there´s an extended mode with lots of extra bricks =)

if there´s enough interest i would organize an cnc-themed competition

Building the models with the software is as time-consuming as playing Minecraft, so I'm not going to participate. I could once again be a judge, but I'm busy with university.

Well, it was functional in that I got a pair of motors and hooked them up to an RCX so that it spun a set of wheels mounted inside the 'railguns' - it fired bolts fairly far, but since I couldn't get the legs to take the weight (while moving) of the two robotic boxes and all their motors I kinda abandoned the project.

So no, I'm not doing that again.

working on the rules...
1) one entry per entrant (submitting the lxf-file)
2) entry can consist of more the one object (like building a scene with lotta tanks and buildings...)
3) judging by community poll

that´s the ideas i had in mind...
