Subject description: need help resizing Original Ra2 Voxels
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

What I want to do is resize all the Original RA2/Yuri's revenge Voxles
to more realistic sizes.

I want to make thing look their proper size

Like the MCV Should be much bigger than any Tank
and the rhino tank should be a bit bigger.

I'm planning on a complete resize of every Voxel and SHP in the game
but need help doing so.

So how exactly do you resize a voxel?
Do you use Voxel Editor or another program?
Is it hard to understand or easy?

I don't want to alter anything but the size.

Also how do you resize Buildings
I know how to resize infantry.

want to make the Soviet bunker smaller

Help is much appreciated by anyone

Reply or PM me thanx

you can resize them using "Full Resize" option in vxllseIII.It will double them in size. Then from there you'll have to downsize them "If they are too big" using OS HVA Builders voxel bounds tool.
Keep in mind you really dont want to make them bigger than a 1x1 cell other wise they'll over lap each other. But it's your choice I guess.

For the buildings, you can resize them using OS Shp Builder. But resizing them using os shp builder usually has bad results. You could export the images, then resize them in a photo editor and reimport them back into shp builder. Probably would be your best bet.

Voxel full resizes also has bad results.

There must be a way to resize them without having results

I just want to resize them a little bigger than they are

Boats Should be big

tanks should be bigger

Mvc should bigger

planes should be big

Just use full resize, the results arent bad at all, especially since your gonna have to downsize them afterwards anyway, which, will then make them look better. It's either that or remake them entirely.

Well, Cranium, I had a Radar Jammer which I will redo from scratch because it accidentally got done with TS size and Full Resize messed up the texture and the edges enough to be easier to remake it from scratch than fix it.

What are these numbers or values?

is it really necessary to have these numbers accurate to 13 decimal places?

Sorry, I didnt mean for it to sound like I was saying your wrong or something, But yes, that issue does happen from time to time. But I've resized alot of vxls that have come out pretty decent too. It's pretty much his only option aside from redoing them from scratch.

@cyber snake, no, decimals arent really needed, but if it has them, i recommend to still use them.

@cyber snake: their main (Current vauls) can be found in the voxel it's self just simply go to Sections and then click Resize cavens you will see the [Current Size] Please note this will only make the space bigger for your voxel and will not Size up the voxel.

Ok so HVABuilder Resizes the space -the bounds, for the voxels

And Voxel Editor is where you can create them -where I am not very good at making them.

how do you make the Voxels themselves bigger?

HTNK.VXL
HTNKBARL.VXL -These files How do I make these just a bit bigger
HTNKTUR.VXL

So I have a bigger looking Rhino Tank in game

see I was thinking instead of making the infantry smaller to make the Voxels bigger and Some of the building bigger and others smaller.

but right now I just want to resize the in game voxels.

sorry to apply a bit late, In the Voxeler programmer go to sections and then go To full Resize and click ok after that go to HVA and down size the voxel to your need.
