Every time I run the launcher and try to start up the game, I get the titular error. Running the mod in windowed mode doesn't work either, even though I change to 16-bit mode, it still complains it can only run in said mode Confused

The OS is Windows 7, and just to mention, TI works fine, albeit only with 98 compatibility. Otherwise I get the same error.

Wat do?

Yeah, it sounds like one of the files downloaded by the Launcher got corrupted or something as you're the first one posting about this problem with 1.11. I'd recommend trying the standalone download from ModDB.

I already reinstalled it before posting, however, I figured out the problem myself. Apparently, the directory address mustn't contain foreign characters (mine had the letter "ä" twice at one of the root folders. Go blame my dad, I'm on his PC atm. Last time I tried renaming the folder, the entire registry within went mad). I moved it to another directory, and success.

I wasn't aware of that... I assume this is an issue with TS and not DTA?
Possibly the launcher could check the characters in the path and give a warning when disallowed characters are present...
