Yeah, my father was kinda interested in such things. In Romania, long time ago, Technics and Unitra were very popular systems. Sadly, Unitra no longer exists and Technics seems to no longer produce audio systems.

Any recommendations? My father found some Swedish Proson set and some Akai ones. (but the Akai ones were retardedly cheap.).

Other brands are welcome.

Speakers for a computer or for TV?
If for a computer, I use a Logitech system for several years already, and haven't complained a single time #Tongue

I use the same Dutchy does (unless he's bought a new one), and like he said, they've worked fine through all these years.

I've had the same Altec-Lansing since before I ever joined PPM. I got them Christmas of 2004. Most mid-range speakers (Logitec, Altec-Lansing, JVC, HP ect) will last you a very long time. I have a BOSE system for my TV, and if you've got the money, I recommend it. If not, my family had a Sony system for almost 15 years before finally someone spilled beer all over one of the main speakers and ruined it.

Get some bookshelf speakers, an amp and a sub. They work for TV and PCs both. And they're usually fairly cheap. I use Dayton Audio for speakers and will for my sub, and Lepai Tripath for my amp.

I'm using BOSE for my PC & highly recommend them. My girlfriend is using Logitech ones tho & TBH I don't really like them, they sound really flat with the sub off & to bassy with it on, it's really hard to find a natural balance with them.

I think I explained everything wrong.

In our living room, we got a pretty powerful Technics amplituner. And all we need some speakers for that amplituner.

In that case, B&W speakers FTW...

Then grab a pair of Dayton Audio bookshelf speakers if you can. They're cheap. Only thing is that you'll need speaker wire.

Dude. My speakers look like that and they are incredible. You'll need a unit to provide bass like an amp or a sub, but that's what mine look like. They're not tiny.
