I really like the look of mirage tank so I want to add a new tank to my TS mod with the voxel of mirage tank.

I'm still familiar with text works so I have done the part of rule.ini and art.ini but here comes the problem, after years away from modding, I really do forget some detail of converting job.

I have extracted voxel and hva files of mtnk from RA2 and placed them in the same folder of game, and wats the next step I should do? I think there is something to do with the palette and converting but I just cannot remember how...
any hints?

You have no need for conversion, TS and RA2 unittem is the same*.

*TS might use 208-239 which isn't on RA2 unittem, but rest are fine, esp when it comes to voxels.

You gotta resize it too, RA2 voxels are bigger than TS ones. You need HVA Builder, then you go to voxel bounds and you replace all the numbers by their 4/5 or 3/5 part depending on how it looks better ingame.

thanks for ur answer, but i got one more question.
imo, colors of vehicles from RA2 are too bright to fit the dark theme of TS, just a little harmonized.
do u have any idea to fix this?

One-click solution? No.

You might end up good if you get Apollo's color schemes from FreedomStudios, then say convert something to RGB Soviet, Soviet Yuri (nonRGB) then back to that colorscheme it was.

Well if you simply want to make everything darker you could use the colour replace tool in VXLSE under Tools -> Colours and Normals -> Replace Colours.

Don't forget that most will need their normals redone to work correctly in TS.

Normals control the lighting of a voxel, TS & RA2 use different types & RA2 normals don't work correctly in TS, so the colours will look to bright.

To fix it you'll have to open the voxel in VXLSE, go to the header & change the normals mode from 4 (RA2) to 2 (TS). Then you'll need to redo the normals using the auto-normalizer.
