Anyone got some advice for me?

I wanna stomp some Allies, but apperantly RA2YR doesn't like 64 bits much. I've already tried everything regarding compatibility and such.

What does it do or not do? I have Windows 7 x64 and the games run fine.

Same. The only C&C related issue I've came across with Win 7 x64 so far is the Generals shell maps and campaign movies don't play, which can be fixed by changing compatibility to Windows XP.

Weird. Weird.

Anyway, here are the details. Perhaps someone knows something about it. I run Windows 7 64-bits, AMD AthlonII dualthingie 3.01GHz processor, Nvidea GeForce GTX 260 card.

Updating drivers didn't do ztyping jackshit. ztyping ass.

Edit: just checked the DVD, it's a bit fucked up, gonna try a torrented C&CTFD...

Quote:
[quoted]set the Compatibility mode of each .exe in the Red Alert 2 folder to Windows XP SP2.

There's also a patch that will allow you to play it over IP in a lan called wsock.dll

This might work=^

Mmm, turns out the C&CTFD menu uses some .exe's that don't run on my computer. gamemd.exe and game.exe.

RA2MD.exe and YURI.exe work fine.

I have to put them on Compatibility Mode with Run As Admin enabled.

Even on certain XP computers, all YR .exe's need to be set to win2000 mode to work properly.

I use Windows 98, but 2K should work okay too.

Yes indeed.

Starting up games directly works fine. For some reason the launchers that are supposed to work with the TFD menu don't work.

Just create shortcuts on your desktop. TFD launcher doesn't work like it should.
