Hi guys, I would like to start modding TS since I like the game a lot but I have a problem. The game keeps crashing all the time. I have googled it a bit and I have found come cchyper's patch, or some stuff with ddraw.dll but I haven't found any working link to those things. Do you think that it actually helps?

FYI: the system is: w7 x64, NV 8800 GT, Intel Core 2

I am also posting the except file.

What kind of modification do you've done?
The EIP 0046C7E2 is quite familiar, but i don't remember what caused it.

yep, i thought so too, but i'm not sure as the ones i've found in the Help: Internal Errors topic have numbers around 006xxxxx.
Though this could be the laser WCE while in the IE topic they all have Disrupter WCEs.

Hmm, I'm not sure. The EIP looks familiar to me, but according to ModEnc the EIP of the laser WaveClass IE is 006717CB, so either my memory is wrong or ModEnc is wrong. I assume the former Confused

Hey guys... it's rather bad Sad It doesn't work. It actually crashed in first 5 mins. Before it at least took an hour... Here is the exception I got now. Any suggestions?

The game is crashing in one of the Blitter routines. Not seen this crash since TS Dusk...

Not playing with a mod are you?

Hey I got it... bad version of the LAN lib. I have to use the one which has 46080 bytes. So its solved. Thx anyway.

Sorry about hijacking this topic and not being online for like ages... but CCHyper can you make me a WCE (Disruptor & laser & whatever) fixed ETS 3.40 r19?

By the way why dont Tiberian Sun support past 1260 pixels vertically (I have a 19" and a 21" PC CRT that is capable of upto 2304x1728), at XXXX x 1270 it just gets stuck on the loading screen.

TS supports 4096x4096, but will only allow whatever your graphics card can handle.

I will not be adding the fix to any ETS version. If you want to add it, to a byte by byte compare with a vanilla TS executable and copy the changes.

Ok about the ETS WCE fix.

About the resolution the grahpics card should not be the issue becaus first I can easily run other stuff upto the limit of the monitor (above 2400x1800), and why would the graphics card (a GF8800GT) be the issue if Tiberian Sun gets stuck at the loading screen (at "Deploying forces to combat zone") when running XXXX x 1270 and up but not at XXXX x 1260 and below (I run the game in window mode)

Also this makes me wonder if anyone has ever posted screenshots of running the game at resolutions with a vertical resolution above 1260 or documented it on some forum... or just not bothered with it becaus LOL OLD GAME.

I guess I could try it using 1280x2048 (1280x(1024*2), dualscreen) on the weekend and see if it works for me, using a Radeon X1950 XT. I already know that 2560x1024 works flawlessly though.
