dont think it's possible... a bug that i can think of is FreeUnit= cant be a Infantry type...

I think so.
I once played a mod where the third side had slave workers. Their animation was that they spinned around in a stupid way...
I dont remember what the name, however. It was about 2 years ago I played it.

no its not possible, freeunit is one of many bugs that would occur if u tried to get this working

A problem with another method i used.
I created a clone of the refinery which would undeploy into the original vehical. I created two new vehicals. one to create a deployable refinery, and another, a harvester. I didn't worry about adding new artwork just for the test, but for some reason TS crashes on me.
Does anyone know where i went wrong?

ok i can nearly have this working i just need to sort out the moving closer to the tiberium thing also when the cilvlian model if used goes to the Slave miner (ive just used a tib refienery model when deployed for now)to drop its load off it changes back into a harvester as it does it an then changes back to a civilian so theres a few bugs to sort out but this isnt impossible
also id like to add i havent used any animations yet for the slaves to actually look like there doing something when they pick the tib up im just woriking on get it to work on a basic theme once thats done it can be changed to look properly

I just realised something, why would you harvest tiberium with an infantryman if tiberium kills them? Unless of course you are the forgoten.

easy just give them tiberium heal or if you use a vehical but change the picture than it doesnt damge them

well i dunno maybe i cud change it to cyborg slaves or something
i just got an idea actually do you think i cud change the animation for the slaves to when infantry like bend over an touch the ground and use that as the animation for when there picking the tiberium up??

That is an interesting idea, like when the harvester is harversting, you can see some movement at the mouth of it.
That would look the part.

Also, corect me if I'm wrong, but the reason that you can see a normal harvester is that when it unloads, it uses the "harvester without back" info.

I could be wrong on that last bit. Smile

dunno thats what i get aswell although it saves ya money when you want more salves lol
it must be possible to stop it though coz ive played a mode like this before and you only got one harvester and when you undeployed and deployed it never gave you another one

cuz the undeployed vehicle deployed into a refinery that DIDN'T include a free unit.

hhm well i cud always take the free unit off and cut the price of the slave miner
i was thinkin how can you make an auto replace unit for free coz thats what happens with the slave miner cud i do that somehow?

You Could make like "Head Slave Miner" Thats free with a bild limit of one and "Slave Miners" that cost some with not build limit?

Got it working good enough for now. Time to concentrate on other things. Very Happy
I went a bit crazy with deployables Wink Now got deployable component towers and lasers. Might give GDI a laser turret using vulcan cannon artwork could work
