ugh!, The Flu is bad bad bad

The Flu is running crazy in the USA right now. 47 states confirming wide spread of it with some cities declaring a Medical Emergency because thier hospitals cant handle the thousands of patients flooding the emergency rooms. It's bad guys, I mean like really really bad.

Here in Ohio its also really bad, I so far havent gotten it and pray that i dont.

I haven't gotten it yet (also in Ohio) and so far only person I know that has had it was my brother...but that was while he was in Texas.
Otherwise i've only heard of a few others who have had it. And of course heard that it's spreading around quickly and to a lot of people.

still blows my mind that so many people who have JUST the flu virus would go to the hospital. I mean if you have other conditions that the flu virus is making a lot more complicated, that's one thing...but if it's just the flu you're facing...why waste the time and the hospitals' time and space instead of just staying home and waiting it out while you keep yourself hydrated? Not like the hospital is gonna give some instant cure to make it go away. Especially since from what i've heard this one is just a 24 hour puke your ass off and you're essentially better afterwards ordeal and not a several day aches and pain along with puking. Then again...I guess most work places now require you to get a doctors' signature if you call in sick.. even if you're throwing up while you call in...

Its because the media has this Flu stuff so jacked up, people are scared of it now. Also it is far worse this year, they "the CDC" have said its the worst its been in 10 yrs. Take for example, Boston, MA. Last year had only 70 confirmed flu cases, this year its already at 700+ but those are figures for hospital goers. They actually estimate Bostons flu outbreak to be in the thousands. Chicago Hospitals are turning people away because theres no room for them. Its just an ugly mess out there.
At our local hospitals, wait times are near 5-6 hrs before you get to even see anybody.

Flu? I had pneumonia when I was 3 years old. I couldn't care less about a flu.

I think that shade means insufficient data. =P The report from a few days ago showed us in the "widespread" report area. I think I've got it already but it's nothing I haven't dealt with before. It took the "swine flu" to knock me on my ass, and that was just for a few weeks.
