Has anyone ever made a decent snow theater version of the Soviet Naval Yard that I could use, it bugs me that its the only structure that never had a snow version?

Thanks!

holy ztype Deezire's back?!

Hmmm shouldn't be too hard to make a snow buildup/set but I'm preoccupied with other stuff.

In another break with convention I'm using Ares as it just kicks ass.

Hah! I recall how my first YR hacking forum topic back on DeeZire.net was locked cause mods were afraid of supporting EA's stuff being hacked. We had to find a different place. Now you're using Ares, which has the roots in just that forum topic. That's a nice full circle. Very Happy

Yeah, I remember that too.

I don't think anyone ever worked on the Naval Shipyard SHP.

Indeed - although I can't find anything that works properly #Tongue I chose Ares due to the number of inherent game bug fixes it provides that can't be done through INIs, although I've found it brings as many bugs with it so I'll probably end up not using anyways Confused

Which bugs?

AFAIK Ares doesn't introduce bugs in original game. Ok, there are restrictions (BuildAt) and messup-preventions (UnitRepair=yes + Factory=AircraftType => certain IE instead of YR's random IE)... but I wouldn't say it's that buggy.

Fixing bugs for DeeZire would be a worthy cause...

...it would require bug reports, though.

My bad guys - n00b alert LOL

Ares still rocks so far. The only bummer is save/load game functionality, are you doing that?

Yuri's Psychic Radar also uses the Damaged Frames of the Soviets (WW/EA just reskinned the brick to be Yuri's Yellow but its definitely the Soviet one)

That is documented. And known. And it never worked in RP/NP neither.

And that's only one, while DeeZire claimed it brought in numerous ones.

Could it be possible to get around that by simply disabling the whole Ares logics in singleplayer and skirmish
and only process the new Ares logics in multiplayer, where saving/loading isn't possible in the first place?

Then both modes would still work fine and in singleplayer the new Ares things would be simply ignored.

What's the point? I'm pretty sure most of Ares users don't design stuff for SP and MP seperately. Confused

Well, that's just retarded. So everything Ares brings will only work when you play online but not offline? What a great platform that would be to build a mod on. Lack of savegames is infinitely more preferrable to your solution.

Not to mention additional coding and testing.

Its also already been documented why save game does not work as Ares is ongoing.

Also Ares to my knowledge has mission select making saving not necessary.

There are always parts you want to save quickly, before attacking, or during long missions when you need to go away from your computer.

Yeah, RP's right. A lot of people would agree if they've ever played MO's new campaigns. #Tongue

I am now working in some improved gates (since the ones that exist are rather awful in a few aspects), but in a day or two I shall make that.

I had also noticed the lack of a snow version (when mapmaking and adding them to snow maps, actually)
