messin around and i made a new image to put on some maps like a ground texture kinda thing... i named it CLAT17 and CLAT17a.. and put them ecache08, how do i get these to show up so i can use them in a map? with finalsun

erm have u added them to the temperate.ini and snow.ini ?
It cant magically appear if it has no code related to it

Yeah u need to edit these files, also, be sure to name them CLAT17.tem and not .shp ( i often forgot that...). SMIFFGIG are u sure they work when u put them in an ecache, wouldn't it have to be a temperat.mix?

THis is something worth testing

Firstly I would think it does need temperat.mix as FS Addon clones TS's temperate.mix just to add the new terrain

However TSR adds new road pieces and these are just placed directly into the echache (no temperate.mix needed)

Plus the fact it was also at one time thought to add new sounds u had to clone the sound01.mix
but u can put them in the ecache no need for clones


This is worth testing thedvd Wink (if it works it will drastically reduce the size of your mod) and ill add all FS stuff into TSR

Yes, it would, i use the FS temperat.mix then added the new TSTW plants and terrain... but i looked in TSR 1.2 beta and the snow fona's where in an ecache.

BTW! the temperat.mix file is reduced to a few mb by zipping it..

Argh, i named .shp intead of .tem, hopefully this will help. And yes i did edit the temperate.ini. Thanks for reminding me of that small error tho guys...



edit: lol i renamed and now Final sun instantly closes after i open a map... i migh thave made an error in the temp. ini

Alright double post, but im an admin so ha #Tongue Anyways. ok i got it to be in final sun without final sun freezing.. almost. In that drop down menu at the bottom the Terrain/ground one. 0074 (NewGroundType) is selectable. but the files dont show up to be selected. So.. Do i HAVE to put them in temperat.mix? or isotemp.mix or what?

UPDATE! Still cant this damned thing to work. As far as i can get is just the thing showing up like in the pic above. I got it to work as a smudge but you can place overlay over it so its pointless. Does anyone know where a tutorial is or someone that has done thi sbefore please help!
