Hey folks!

I managed to score this computer from my friend, and I'm trying to find the best way to combine it with what I've already got.

Here's the specs:
MOBO: ASUS P5ND2-SLI
Power supply: 630W some generic brand
Graphics: BFG Tech GTS 250
Two sticks of 1GB DDR2 memory
CPU: Pentium 4
GPU: BFG Tech BFGEGTS2501024DE GeForce GTS 250 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Here's what I'm currently running:
MOBO: m2n68-la
Power: 550W Corsair
4 sticks of memory, 6GB total, DDR2
CPU: Phenom X4 9500
GPU: PNY XLR8 VCGGTS2501LXPB GeForce GTS 250 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

HERE's THE PLAN:
Take the SLI mobo, plug BOTH graphics cards into it. Buy an SLI bridge. Plug in the 6 GB memory, and the 550W Corsair.
The thing is, ol' Pentium 4 ain't going to cut the cheese. Here's the one I'm looking at buying:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz Quad Core CPU LGA775 8M 1066FSB

I'm REALLY close to buying it , so if there's any reason I shouldn't (or should), or anything I need to know about it, please speak now or I'm going to screw myself over. Thanks! Smile

the core2duo quad core is a good processor. However its not a true quad core. its simply a duo core with hyper threading technology. Though it is the high end core2duo. I do recommend you getting it if the mobo is compatible with it.

They're def compatible.
I'd like to ask for a second or third opinion; someone mentioned that the mobo didn't have enough mojo to handle the CPU without some modification. Can anyone shed some light on this?
