Yuri Stealth Tank [Nostalgia]
Subject description: Includes full working codes, 2 voxels, cameo and anims
Quote:
This is a rezised, manually recoloured, renormalized, modified, and heavily edited version of the TS tank model, with original codes and weapons for yuri.
It fires industrial waste missiles. For both air and land.
It comes with the new yuri missile voxel
All the codes, for the Tank, The weapons, and the Warheads, and even the animations and projectiles, are in the readme.
To command these beasts is a real pleasure.
Surprise!
Unit working features: - Cloak: It's not the fastest around, but it more than suffices for hit-and-run missions, undetected into the shadows. Just make sure to get them out of their own firing range, as these tanks auto-acquire targets for more combat readiness. Their speed is on par with most main tanks.
- Toxic waste: The trail of the missiles is an exhaust waste that damages and even kills infantry, lightly armored vehicles, and buildings! Customized mud melting animation.
- Urban Combat: The missiles are a dual-burst shot of high-damage explosives, with a relatively long range; but still, they have a defect: They are unable to attack trough slopes. So, these tanks are only to be used to fire on flat terrain, else their weapons will just attack the ground!
- In One Shot: Enemies can and should be dispatched quickly in one or two salvos. But if this is not achieved, the tank should escape or be doomed; it is a valuable target, expensive and not so heavily armored.
- Scourge of the Sky: Perhaps one of the most valuable functions of these tanks is their anti-air. While their aiming and de-cloaking speed may not be the best... the decisive fire and the ability to stay hidden, coupled with a generous Air Range Bonus, make them very apt air hunters and even base defenders against all airborne threats.
Checkmate, Atheists! (?)
Some of the codes require Ares to work properly, but the tank and everything can still run without them, it just won't be exactly the same.
Well, it is in yuri scheme and has a purple visor, and such a weapon would not be used by GDI. But sure, with a little changes, it could be. However it is normally way too big for TS. _________________

GDI use Brown1 and Brown2 AFAIK, Yuri use the gradient below brick. _________________ "If you didn't get angry and mad and frustrated, that means you don't care about the end result, and are doing something wrong." - Greg Kroah-Hartman

Yeah, GDI scheme is lighter and brighter, more saturated;
The Yuri one is closer to Soviet but darker and more brownish instead of greenish.
Although, the WW unittem palette is somewhat flawed, the TS version even included two more shades of brown, making it like 6 brown gradients and almost no red, no cyan, no real purple, violet, little green, etc. _________________

Open unitsno. Last two gradients are terrain dependant.
Orac, I think that's because they also worked with 3D models. And 3ds2vxl also does this color mixture between Soviet and Yuri. _________________ "If you didn't get angry and mad and frustrated, that means you don't care about the end result, and are doing something wrong." - Greg Kroah-Hartman

Yes, when I played around with Yuri's voxels, I noticed lot of Soviet and GDI colors too.
MasterMind for example has lot of Soviet colors.
Yurićs scheme looks like ocher, more brownish than GDI which seems to look more on yellow. However, they are similiar lot, except Yuri is darker scheme, thats why GDI style works the best at Yuri's side (obviosly much better than Soviet white color or Allied blue) _________________
Well, the darker shades of Soviet give a nice military green effect, but normally WW's voxels just use the light ones that indeed are almost white.
However, in real life, scientific and such soviet vehicles and rockets did were painted white, just not with so much glare
(And at leat the soviet architecture for civilian buiildings on RA2 is mostly accurate, unlike in RA3 where everything looks like a cartoon and all russian buildings seem orthodox churches...) _________________
NimoStar, yes.
But later, in Generals, RA3, now generals2 all ,,red" factions use green scheme for vehicles.
In RA2/YR, green on tanks for Soviet just looks out of place to me, perhaps due of small amount of green colors. _________________
