I noticed if I made hover height higher then normal, like say five hundred and add it to a helicopter it'll began flopping around like a fish out of water upon its death. Is there anyway around it?

The main reason I ask, is sort of a go around with the A.I. with my helicopter units since the hunt command doesn't work all the time properly with jumpjet units.

The hover/jumpjet logic has lots of quirks and death behaviour can even get stuck above a building or such, easiest fix is disable the crash death and make it explode in air, else you gotta trial and error adjust the values hoping for better, beyond that no magic fixes.

Yeah, I remember all my units got instant veterancy because a Rocketeer was stuck at ground level playing his death animation, but couldn't die.

How do you disable it? I mostly copy and pasted from the Siege Chopper and edited the settings as need be.

Then the answer was all the time infront of your nose.
Crashable= yes/no

In plain english I might add so reading the code does merit quicker results.

...sometimes the most obvious answer is the one starring you in the face. I'm now horribly amused, feel kind of stupid but it happens. Thanks.

The AI issue can partially be fixed by using kirov code and IdleRate=1 so the rotors will spin instead of the siege chopper code.
